- SpaceOctopus 2012/06/28 11:21:33NoBeing part of the public doesn't mean it's right for them to interfere with a wedding. Many people decide to get married on beaches. Some of them are very special places for some people. If they aren't causing a problem or doing anything illegal, then I honestly think it's ridiculous to regulate on it. Not to mention, if the public does own the beach, then the public should be able to use it. At least it would make sense for people to get permits for big weddings, but most people don't choose to have big weddings at a public beach.reply
- susan 2012/06/24 15:53:42YesOf course they have that right. Public beaches are owned by the public, and the state has the duty and the authority to regulate all activities on those beaches for the benefit of the public, not any single private individual.reply
- mich52 2012/06/24 14:34:48YesWedding are mostly a private affair aren't they? I doubt if the "public" would be welcome to someone's wedding uninvited..reply
- apachehellfire65 2012/06/24 14:27:38Yes+1and no. they are public lands. but we give these people authority to administer public lands. public lands are open to the public. yet no one has a right to monopolize them for their own use.reply
