Question US

Do you think Sarah Palin will get the Republican presidential nomination in 2012?

Sarah Palin seems to be the darling of the fundamentalist wing of the Republican Party. Will that be enough to secure for her the Presidential nomination in 2012 or will she go the way of Dan Quayle?

I certainly hope she DOESN'T get it.

I am afraid of all the fear mongering/hatred that she will bring to the campaign trail again. The so called Republican "Hater" base is all to ready to lap it!! Unfortunately most of them are unemployed and spend all their time on SH!

Yes, she will be our next Republican nominee.

She will either be #1 or #2 on the ticket.

    Undecided

I hope that she does get the nomination because she is so far to the Red/Right that no moderate or independent voter would back her.

The Republican Party would be forced to re-evaluate where the party wants go and what role it can play in the future after a resounding loss with Palin as the Republican Standard Bearer.

The Republican Party tried to expand its base by bringing in extremists, and ended up alienating its moderate base.

Palin appeals to the extremists that only recently were brought into the Republican fold.

Palin's day in the sun is over. She'll never get the nomination.

The Republicans want to forget her....I would think.

I certainly hope she DOESN'T get it.

She seemed incredibly ignorant about a lot of foreign policy and ideology issues in the last election. But that was most likely the fault of party planners and only partly her fault. It's still frightening that a woman who calls largely centrist liberalism "socialism" could be elected president. She'll take the country to an even more right wing position, although some people would still welcome that.
