The Bush Tax Cuts (passed before Barry became a Senator in '04) were slowly phased in over four years. In 2002, only the lowest income bracket got a tax cut from 15% down to 10%... a 1/3 cut!
It was only until 2006 that the top tax bracket got their tax cut from 39% down to 35% (a 1/10th tax cut)!
But tax revenue paid to the gov't (according to WSJ) soared to record highs and the post 9/11 war deficits plummeted to less than $200 Billion per year, far less than Clinton's $300B deficits before Newt's GOP budget gave Billy a surplus, paying down over $400B in principal reduction for the first time in modern history! By comparison, PresBO's deficit last year was over $1.6 Trillion...10x the size of Bush's deficit in '08, even with Bush's two wars.
In Nov. '06, the Dems won control of congress and were sworn in January'07... 18 months later, in fall of 2008, the housing markets, the financial and banking markets and global markets were collapsing.
You are right in that Obama wasn't in the WHITEHOUSE OFFICE, but he certainly was in the U.S. Senate and as the JUNIOR inexperienced senator from ILLINOIS, he voted for everything that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi told him to vote for.
Those that do not know our history (like PresBO) are doomed to repeat it!
That's easy... its YOUR MONEY.
Gitmo is still open, he signed the extension of the Patriot Act in May of 2011, the NDAA 2012 in December 2012, and in October 2011 he officially signed the US onto ACTA, which is essentially Obama showing how much he loves Hollywood, Chris Dodd, the MPAA, and the RIAA. Oh, and I doubt he'll veto CISPA, come'on, has he ever veto'd anything he promised to veto? I'd really say the only good thing he's done in regards to civil liberties is the repeal of DADT.
And then there is foreign policy. We got involved in Libya through the UN, and now we're sending people off to look for Kony, in which most of the facts in the Kony 2012 campaign were out of date, and we're essentially sending some of our servicemen/women into a wild goose chase that can't end well.
And what about Iraq/Afghanistan? Well, the "war" in Iraq may have ended, but the occupation is far from over. And I don't see any end to the occupation in Afghanistan either.

To sum it up: Barack Obama is a neocon, and has become what he kept calling George McCain in the 2008 presidential race. And either an Obama or Romney (I nearly typed Bush in place of Obama's name) win this November will be Bush's 4th term, and I won't vote for either.
Gary Johnson will have my vote this November, of course, after I give Ron Paul my vote in this months primaries.
It's crazy how some people want to disgrace the President so much that they are willing to ignore the facts. Obama is a reasonable, calculating, and very intelligent man who has handled this job extremely well. "He hasn't done anything?" Do they think that the President can do anything he wants, without the limitations of the Constitution or public opinion? "The economy's gotten worse?" Instead of talking about the aftereffects of Bush, can we all talk about the continuing economic growth for the past two years and the lowering unemployment rate? What about the burst of patriotic feelings this week in 2011 because our President had the courage to go after bin Laden?
Obama may have given us some disappointments, but it's not for lack of heart or trying. He's human, like the rest of us, and he's truly doing his best. I just hope the American people can see that.
Those types of things are why I hated Bush. Those are now the reasons why I hate Obama. Both Bush and Obama make me sick. And so does Romney. If Romney is the serious candidate, than both the major parties will truly be "The Lesser of two Bushes" We've already seen how Bush's 3rd term has turned out these past few years, I fear for the inevitable 4th.
