He will win because he is doing a heroic job under extremely difficult conditions and because he is extraordinarily intelligent, capable, objective and willing to compromise to achieve goals that benefit all of the people.

You are right "D"... Obama was a SENATOR and voted for the things that triggered the crash when the Dems took control of congress in January 2007.

The Bush Tax Cuts (passed before Barry became a Senator in '04) were slowly phased in over four years. In 2002, only the lowest income bracket got a tax cut from 15% down to 10%... a 1/3 cut!

It was only until 2006 that the top tax bracket got their tax cut from 39% down to 35% (a 1/10th tax cut)!

But tax revenue paid to the gov't (according to WSJ) soared to record highs and the post 9/11 war deficits plummeted to less than $200 Billion per year, far less than Clinton's $300B deficits before Newt's GOP budget gave Billy a surplus, paying down over $400B in principal reduction for the first time in modern history! By comparison, PresBO's deficit last year was over $1.6 Trillion...10x the size of Bush's deficit in '08, even with Bush's two wars.

In Nov. '06, the Dems won control of congress and were sworn in January'07... 18 months later, in fall of 2008, the housing markets, the financial and banking markets and global markets were collapsing.

You are right in that Obama wasn't in the WHITEHOUSE OFFICE, but he certainly was in the U.S. Senate and as the JUNIOR inexperienced senator from ILLINOIS, he voted for everything that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi told him to vote for.

Those that do not know our history (like PresBO) are doomed to repeat it!

I would say yes and no. Yes if Mitt Romney is the actual candidate, no if Ron Paul's delegate strategy works. Obama disgusts me, so of course I don't want him to win. But, I can't stand Romney either. I can't stand Obama on economic issues, and he doesn't have a freaking backbone when it comes to civil liberties.

Gitmo is still open, he signed the extension of the Patriot Act in May of 2011, the NDAA 2012 in December 2012, and in October 2011 he officially signed the US onto ACTA, which is essentially Obama showing how much he loves Hollywood, Chris Dodd, the MPAA, and the RIAA. Oh, and I doubt he'll veto CISPA, come'on, has he ever veto'd anything he promised to veto? I'd really say the only good thing he's done in regards to civil liberties is the repeal of DADT.

And then there is foreign policy. We got involved in Libya through the UN, and now we're sending people off to look for Kony, in which most of the facts in the Kony 2012 campaign were out of date, and we're essentially sending some of our servicemen/women into a wild goose chase that can't end well.

And what about Iraq/Afghanistan? Well, the "war" in Iraq may have ended, but the occupation is far from over. And I don't see any end to the occupation in Afghanistan either.

To sum it up: Barack Obama is a neocon, and has become what he kept calling George McCain in the 2008 presidential race. And either an Obama or Romney (I nearly typed Bush in place of Obama's name) win this November will be Bush's 4th term, and I won't vote for either.

Gary Johnson will have my vote this November, of course, after I give Ron Paul my vote in this months primaries.

    "Communist." "Czar." "Socialist." "Un-American."

It's crazy how some people want to disgrace the President so much that they are willing to ignore the facts. Obama is a reasonable, calculating, and very intelligent man who has handled this job extremely well. "He hasn't done anything?" Do they think that the President can do anything he wants, without the limitations of the Constitution or public opinion? "The economy's gotten worse?" Instead of talking about the aftereffects of Bush, can we all talk about the continuing economic growth for the past two years and the lowering unemployment rate? What about the burst of patriotic feelings this week in 2011 because our President had the courage to go after bin Laden?
Obama may have given us some disappointments, but it's not for lack of heart or trying. He's human, like the rest of us, and he's truly doing his best. I just hope the American people can see that.

Patriot Act Extension 2011, NDAA 2012, officially signing us onto ACTA, having a DOJ that uses the DEA even more than Bush's DOJ did. Intervening in other countries politics we have no place in (Libya), and continued torture in Gitmo.
Those types of things are why I hated Bush. Those are now the reasons why I hate Obama. Both Bush and Obama make me sick. And so does Romney. If Romney is the serious candidate, than both the major parties will truly be "The Lesser of two Bushes" We've already seen how Bush's 3rd term has turned out these past few years, I fear for the inevitable 4th.

thank you for this astute, accurate and warm comment... the haters hate so deeply that they have no collective consciousness about the lack of RESPECT they show... it is simply appalling... I understand it though because I despised former administration's policies - but I did not HATE him or Mrs. Bush... they are just people - and I never questioned their patriotism or birthplace or religion - they were the typical white conservative family that I've seen and voted against my entire life... But to have someone as BRILLIANT, CALM, COOL, COLLECTED, KIND, WARM, INTELLIGENT AND INTELLECTUAL, WONDERFUL FATHER, LAW PROFESSOR SCHOLAR, called the names PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS BEEN called, rips my heart out and merely makes me FIGHT ALL THE HARDER FOR HIS RE-ELECTION...

The policies of Bush & Co. with the help of Reagan and Daddy Bush, sent our economy reeling, not President Obama. Electing Romney would mean the continuation of those policies. That is something the people of this country cannot afford.

Liberals have no brains. Just want everything free and never want to work for it. More people on welfare now more then ever. Sitting at home and watching their TV's and playing video games on their computers. Once in a while they get off their lazy asses and jump in their late model cars to go to the liquor store and grocery market to use their food stamps. That is the ones they don't sell.

Mr. President Obama has the experience, a very capable leader and is leading our country in the right direction. He is not going in blind, not knowing what's going on, like someone else I know. All his opponent know is we gonna defeat the current president. No plans, no agenda, just talk. Our economy is on the right track, getting stronger day by day, it is safe, secure and thriving. Mr. President Obama has my vote!

It will be close- but I hope Pres. Obama wins! He has tried to do a very good job despite conditions over which he had no conrol. I don't agree with all the things he has done- but the alternative- Romney is very frightening. If you think this country is in a mess now- prepare for a colossal failure on Romney's part. I will vote for Obama- just checked the wrong box.
