He will win because he is doing a heroic job under extremely difficult conditions and because he is extraordinarily intelligent, capable, objective and willing to compromise to achieve goals that benefit all of the people.

It will be a close race. But, those willing to do research about both of their records, especially in light of economic genius, will likely choose Romney.

I think that as the election gets closer, the American people will start to pay attention to what is going on. Hopefully they will be able to look past the biases of the main stream media and see the damage that Obama and the Democrat Congress did to the country the first 2 years Obama was in office. Our great-grandkids will have a lower quality of lifestyle because of their reckless spending.

Good point "D"... You are sooo right!!!

In Jan.'09, when Barry was sworn into office $10,000 of earnings would buy 11.4oz of gold or buy 5,555 gallons of gas.

Today, that same $10,000 in earnings will only buy 6.12oz of gold or buy 2,667 gallons of gas.

Barry promised only to raise taxes on "Billionaires" making over $250k/yr but even the poor schmuck earning just $10k has half of his purchasing power disappeared under the current management.

What about the last 2 years of the Bush Adm?????? If you inherit a broken car you can't drive it until it is fixed. I am not crazy about either one but I wish the American people would stop the blame game. Which ever candidate, that stops pointing the finger at the other is the one we should consider voting for.
  • Bob georgia... 2012/05/06 19:05:33
    Bob
"fix the broken car"? Obama and the democrat Congress spent enough to buy several new cars, but didn't even manage to fix the broken car. I am not a big fan of Romney, but at least he knows a little bit about how usinesses work. All Obama knows is trying to divide people. Whether it is by income, or by race or by education levels, he is trying class warfare. Obama has succeeded in doing what he wanted to do, get the majority of the people to a point where they are looking to government for their existence.

They know now they are going to win. They have "stacked the deck". What a sorry state for our Country. What a sorry excuse for a President....

Bush created the tsunami and it landed on Obama. You think Mitt Romney has a clue? I can't deal with either one. Hillary was and still continues to be the smartest and wisest of them all.

Hillary believes the same way Obama does. She may be smarter, but that does not mean any policies would change. Romney, while not nearly as conservative as I would like him to be, has business experience and also turned the Salt Lake Olympics around. If we get a conservative Republican controlled Senate and House, there is a chance the country can be turned around.

Take a closer look. Who, which party, was so interested in giving loans to people who could not repay them? It started back in the 1970s when there was opposition to what was then called red-lining. That was where banks drew red lines around areas they would not make loans in because they had statistical data that showed they lost money there (that is their depositiors money which they loan out). Clinton pushed it further with freddy and fanny mays.

I agree that both parties are responsible for the mess but the conribtribution to the mess from the Republicans is when they back off from conservative principals and mix in a bit of progressivism (socialism).

I would still like to know where we can look for an example of success with socialism. Cuba? USSR? Greece, France and Italy? Or is China our shining example?

The tsunami is not an accident. It has been in the works for 70 or more years and at this time wealthy progressivessee the chance to turn the tide in there lifetimes, and they will if we let them.
  • Bob ssssss 2012/05/06 19:12:48

Actually the Dems in Congress created the problem when they required lenders to make loans for houses to people who did ot have a chance to pay it back. And yes, Romney has a clue, Obama is accomplishing what he wants, he wants the US brought to it's knees.

Again, you listen to too much MSNBC. Santorum has said repeatedly said that he did not want to eliminate contraception for all women. He said it was the "choice" he and his wife made (no contraception) but he knew it wasn't for everyone. By the way, it is what the Catholic Church teaches. At least he does not believe in letting people kill unborn babies at will.

Do you think Obama gives a rip about you? All he wants is your vote so he can do whatever he wants to do. He will have no more problem getting rid of people who vote for him than he did getting rid of Rev.Wright in the 2008 election. Wright became a lightning rod for criticism, so Obama "threw him under the bus".

Peelou, where is all that "get along" and "working with the other side" and the "civility".. Get rid of all the Republicans? Maybe you should look at the actual history of Democrats, and dig out the 50 years of scrubbing that the New Democrats got rid of..If it weren't for the Republicans, minorities would still be without civil rights... read history Peelou.. your backing some real dysfunctional people who want to take care of you from the cradle to the grave. Sorry but I prefer to have a government that does NOT get into every aspect of my life. I prefer to TAKE HOME, the money I earn and not have the government in D.C. piss it away on green jobs (none of em have worked) Solyndra ... bilions spent on supporting countries that take our grain, or money, then turn around and degrade the U.S. or have a group of people that go into politics as normal people and come out as millioaires... (can you say insider trading... Maxine Waters).... wake up... oh never mind.. you've drunk too much of the kool aid to want to even change.. Oh and I guess you like the fact that the POTUS in his own words spent "the last two years of high school in a haze".. How many jobs (if you have ever had any) did you get from a poor person? If you have any friends that work in an upscale restaurant, ask them about the tips they get from people who obviously make a very good income. What about the workers who make yachts? Do you think they would still have a job if the higher income people had most of their money TAKEN away by taxes? And, by the way, if you took 100% of the net worth of ALL billionaires in the WORLD, you would still not cover the deficit that Obama has run up in less than 4 years. And, by the way, think about voting you grandchildrens' interest.

Is it any wonder that grocery prices, gas prices, electric power and all other prices are skyrocketing as inflation is eating away at the value of our money due to the massive the $6+Trillion debt that will have been added by the end of this 4 year term! That's more "public" debt than all previous presidents combined!

PresBarry promised only to raise taxes on "Billionaires" making over $250k/yr but even the poor hard working schmuck earning less than $110k has had half of her purchasing power disappear under the current management's watch.

While that "Do Nothing" GOP House, (that has been in office for just 15 months) has submitted dozens of job creating bills to the Democrat Senate, not one of them has been allowed by Democrat Senator Harry Reid to come to the floor for a vote.

The GOP House passed a budget with bipartisan support on to the Democrat Senate where it was blocked. While the Democrat Senate, which by law must provide an annual budget, has not...

When PresBO sent his budget to congress, not one single Democrat would vote for it. Barry couldn't even get a Democrat to sponsor the the proposal as a bill because of the massive $1.6 TRILLION in deficit spending that it contained!

Yes, the "Do Nothing" is alive and well in Congress. You are sooo right Jackie. We ALL need to see what our Congress DOES instead if what it SAYS...

Thank you Jackie for your thoughtful post!

I WANT MY LIFE BACK BEFORE THE GOVERNMENT SCREWED UP THE HOUSING MARKET, THE STOCK MARKET, JOB MARKET, AUTO INDUSTRY ETC. AND NOW THEY WANT TO SCREW UP MY HEALTH CARE. FANNIE AND FREDDY WERE RUN BY DEMOCRATS AND DOD AND OBAMA MADE MILLIONS WHILE WE GOT TOOK AND THEY VOTED NOT TO REGULATE THE HOUSING MARKET. BUSH TRIED TO REGULATE IT BUT COULDN'T GET IT THROUGH THE DEMOCRATS. BIGGER GOVERNMENT NO WAY! NOT TO MENTION THE INCREDIBLE DEBT OBAMA HAS GIVEN US. HE IS ENJOYING THE RECESSION BECAUSE HE LIKES TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF US WHEN WE ARE DOWN. LOOK AT ALL THE THINGS HE HAS TAKEN OVER CAR COMPANIES, BANKS ETC.
