Why not - did Bush try to use "Mission Accomplished".... Didn't Reagan use Carter's failed attempt to rescue the hostages against him?..so yeah, it's fair game to use it...

Well, considering I'm not on foreign soil fighting a political enemy, my "right to kill" isn't really there.

OR the other reason is that he didn't want to look as incompetent and ball-less as the administration he superseded. The GOP looks bad on this issue when they traditionally take the high ground of 'being strong' on national defense, then this 'upstart Senator' with oratorical skill kicks their *ss on in three yrs what it took 8 yrs for them to fail at. Now the GOP's only defense strategy is to mininimize the accomplishment as the buffoon they pinned their political hopes on, flails around trying to sound important.

Unless you're Bin Laden used to hiding out from GWB. You think that was exactly what OBL was thinking just before he got his face blown in by a US Navy Seal? Somehow I doubt the word 'incompetent' was wasted by his last thought of President Obama.

I refuse to apologize as a nation that we killed a powerful adversary bent on adding more causuaties on American soil for a radical religious ideal. He knew the deal when he opened this war with us. War has consequences and the blood of many, including some of his own countrymen were on his hands.

My oldest son was covering in a ditch in Iraqi while Bin Laden inspired Al Qaeda was lobbing shells at him helping fellow Iraqis. My son was taking fire while his wife was running with their 3 (now 4 little girls) along some hwy escaping Hurricane Katrina, in their little piece of car on the other side of the world while fellow Americans were sleeping, safe and dry. So OBL got executed without trial? Good... it saved me from the frustration of not getting to it myself.

This POTUS was in charge at the time and he did the right thing as was his authority and had sworn to do. As far as I'm concerned, commanding a call to action may have saved my son's life when 99% of his peers were still swilling beer, attending frat parties and playing video games that glorifed combat - from very afar.... I notice Romney AND his son's managed to skip out of military duty and by doing so, merely reduced themselves to bit players on the subject of national defense.

Where is Obamas military record......oh yeah he didnt serve

But, when Romney was asked if he would make the action that Obama did, he said he wouldn't. Funny, how that works, huh?

There was no war when he was eligible and he opposed war when he was in position to do so. President Obama is not the first president with no military experience. Where was Pres. Wilson's war record - oh yeah, he didn't serve either other than to send others (my dad's dad included) off to fight the war.

No, as usual Obama runs out ahead of the parade and pretends he is leading it.
We know that the info that got us Bin Laden, Obama had nothing to do with gleaning.
We have a pretty great military that is all there is too it.

What we do know is that Bush wasn't even looking for Bin Laden in 2007. So, HOW in the world does Obama have nothing to do with it is something I'll continue to scratch my head about. You seem to not be logically dissecting your own argument, which is also pretty scary.

Bin Laden was not that important a target.
He was a figurehead leader of world wide terrorism against anything Western but not the actual leader of anything beyond his circle.
The actual leader is an ideology that causes many small groups or cells to work for the cause.
W understood this and knew that an all out search for Bin Laden would be nothing more then a political stunt for the masses.
He was concentrating rather on plots to terrorize Americans by ANYONE. This was the smartest way to combat terrorism.
We continued this policy under Obama.
The task to fine Bin Laden was taken on by William McRaven commander of the US Special Operations Command. He was the one who actually made possible finally "killing Bin Laden." Not Obama.

Funny you say it's just a political stunt for the masses NOW, but when those first missles were launched into Afghanistan in retaliation of 9/11, it wasn't a political stunt then. Interesting.

Oddly enough, McRaven didn't know where to look until he got called in by CIA. Wonder where they got their information from? Not from Bush, obviously, since he wasn't looking for him.

You are so wrong but you are one of the ones who will not see it even if it hits you in the face. He will be called one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever had. Like I said in my comment his detractors will call anything he does WRONG..and they will swing back and forth with the wind like Romney.

Romney has already proved with a buffoon he is; his best argument to date is to declare he 'woulda done the same thing, if he had a enough hindsight to back him up'... What an idiot; how he made a 1/4billion dollars is not intuitively evident.

How do you know it wasn't 'remarkable' you were evidently asleep and had no clue? It was the biggest newstory that dominated the airwaves for weeks this time last year. Your personal security from foreign terrorists are an extension of those results of the raid. Your admission of ignorance is less than proof to support your opinion.
