ppk007@cfl.rr.com 2012/04/30 17:10:01Yes, it’s an important event that’s worth highlighting again.+9Why not - did Bush try to use "Mission Accomplished".... Didn't Reagan use Carter's failed attempt to rescue the hostages against him?..so yeah, it's fair game to use it...

My oldest son was covering in a ditch in Iraqi while Bin Laden inspired Al Qaeda was lobbing shells at him helping fellow Iraqis. My son was taking fire while his wife was running with their 3 (now 4 little girls) along some hwy escaping Hurricane Katrina, in their little piece of car on the other side of the world while fellow Americans were sleeping, safe and dry. So OBL got executed without trial? Good... it saved me from the frustration of not getting to it myself.
This POTUS was in charge at the time and he did the right thing as was his authority and had sworn to do. As far as I'm concerned, commanding a call to action may have saved my son's life when 99% of his peers were still swilling beer, attending frat parties and playing video games that glorifed combat - from very afar.... I notice Romney AND his son's managed to skip out of military duty and by doing so, merely reduced themselves to bit players on the subject of national defense.
Where is Obamas military record......oh yeah he didnt serve
We know that the info that got us Bin Laden, Obama had nothing to do with gleaning.
We have a pretty great military that is all there is too it.
He was a figurehead leader of world wide terrorism against anything Western but not the actual leader of anything beyond his circle.
The actual leader is an ideology that causes many small groups or cells to work for the cause.
W understood this and knew that an all out search for Bin Laden would be nothing more then a political stunt for the masses.
He was concentrating rather on plots to terrorize Americans by ANYONE. This was the smartest way to combat terrorism.
We continued this policy under Obama.
The task to fine Bin Laden was taken on by William McRaven commander of the US Special Operations Command. He was the one who actually made possible finally "killing Bin Laden." Not Obama.
Oddly enough, McRaven didn't know where to look until he got called in by CIA. Wonder where they got their information from? Not from Bush, obviously, since he wasn't looking for him.
