Do you think Obama is raising a ruckus on guns using that as a distraction from his spending without a budget?

"Never let a serious crisis go to waste", said Rahm Emmanuel. I believe he and Obama were taught that by Saul Alinsky

Obama wants the debt ceiling raised so he can finish bankrupting our country. He's going to tell congress that he will back off on his gun control program if they raise the debt ceiling. He knows that there is little chance anything on gun control will be done with this congress.

Four years without a Constitutionally required budget and his issue of the day is restricting Constitutionally protected rights and using children as props to aid in his deception!
Of course the fraudster is using any distraction he can come up with to distract people from out-of-control spending and spiraling debt under his administration.

He doesn't want people to focus on what is a greater threat to public good. The debt will destroy this country faster than guns.

More misinformation and emotionally charged selective outrage from the left. The assault rifle was never used. Fact check that, FactCheck. Only more government control via a dog and pony show brought to you by Chicago Slim.

I believe that is part of the plan ! I believe the other part is actually disarming America. If Obama can cause the " perfect storm " of disarming Americans at the same time the economy is destroyed. Then Obama can declare martial law and become dictator ! I truly believe this is what is happening.

He is not spending without a budget. It can't be done. He can, and is, only spending what Congress has authorized him to spend.
Why are conservatives always making things up?

A continuing resolution is not a budget, even though it keeps the cash flowing.

Yes. Everytime there is a shooting, large or small, it is a massacre. And it happens way too often.

Mass shootings are front page news because they are rare.
Daily murders in "gun free" Chicago are not news because they happen every day.

It's still a massacre. And that kind of attitude is deplorable. Just because of a disagreement in a gun law, it's like, "oh well, they should have had guns." That is pathetic.

I am hardly indifferent to the murders in Sandy Hook, having friends and relatives with children in the victim's age group.
I am concerned that the much larger death toll in gun free Chicago is ignored.

It was twenty-eight counting irresponsible mom and a sick kid. What is so wrong about trying to fix a problem that has gotten out of hand?

When the liberties of law abiding citizens are infringed upon pursuing a solution that does little to prevent criminals intent on murder from acquiring those weapons on the black market. A black market that will profit tremendously from the sale of banned weapons. I imagine gang activity will become quite a lucrative career. These are the things wrong with Obama's proposals.
  • dru dixon jtmekjian 2013/01/22 20:41:34
    dru dixon
I agree that simply banning assault weapons will do the trick. They tried in 94 to little success. But it is important to close the loop holes in the second hand selling of guns to have an effect and that is one of his proposals.

Speaking of dying "senselessly"...3,800 defenseless children were aborted on the same day as Sandy Hook, and 3,800 every day in this country since (over 51 MILLION since 1973). If Chicago Slim really cared about the "the most innocent among us" why doesn't he stop supporting abortion and issue an executive order stopping the genocide? Maybe he's following his heart, or maybe it's just selective outrage (like yourself and thousands of other hypocrites).

So you're good with your hypocrisy and selective outrage? The lucky ones get the chance at birth. Consider yourself lucky.
  • Dave FU Hussein 2013/01/19 18:54:52

Abortion is legal - why do you pick and choose your Constituinal laws. Why do you care so much for a mass of cells versus the children already born?
  • FU Hussein Dave 2013/01/22 03:27:16
    FU Hussein
Just because something's legal doesn't make it ethical or right. Besides, genocide disguised as abortion isn't a constitutional law. I care about children and especially the most innocent (the unborn), obviously you don't. Those children in Newtown were lucky to have gotten the few years at life that they had. If you would have had it your way, those "mass of cells" wouldn't have seen the light of day! Your argument has no merit.
  • Dave FU Hussein 2013/01/26 21:00:50
    Dave
Then my point can be made about the 2nd Amendment - maybe that isn't ethical or right either.
