Do you think Mitt Romney, the author of Romneycare, will push for a repeal of Obamacare?

I know he has said that he would, but how many times have you heard this before on the campaign trail where a politician promises one thing and does another, or never does anything at all? It happens all too often and I think it is no different with Romney. He is a pure politician and more of the same if you ask me. I feel Romney is as liberal as Obama on most major issues, and can't find myself to support either candidate. I am interested on people's thought process regarding this issue. Are people really thinking, or is this just another horse race lacking any real substance?

Please share if you are interested in other people's thoughts on this as well.

It's now in the hands of the IRS ... so I doubt he will do anything but give full lip service to it. Now if he starts talking about auditing the FED and getting rid of the IRS ... then I would think the man has something going for him. He's just another talking head to be manipulated by the Bilderberg Group ... another puppet on a string from what I have seen because his record for MA suxs.

I have a question about your question....."the author of Romneycare". My question
is did Romney actually write Romneycare, or did his Democrat majority legislature
pass it and he signed it into law....... in a state dominated by Democrats. It was
only when Scott Brown won 'Teddy's, so called, senate seat, that Democrats started
to look at candidates in a non-partisan way. I admit, they did elect Romney, but
was that merely because he was a Massachusetts resident. Anyone know?

Generally laws are written in legislatures and signed into law by Governors or
the POTUS. That is why they call the the executive and legislative branches of
    government.

If you " I do know this quite well", you might be able to answer the question......
did Romney write the bill or just sign it into law. He was in a Democratic
state with a Democratic legislature, and maybe he was just being bipartisan....

An interesting thing about Massachusetts law is there were less than 10%
of the population had no health insurance. That was not as big a leap as
the Federal population......... I don't know the national % of people without
insurance, but I would bet it is so many more than 10%.

I am sure he probably didn't soley author the bill, but in order to sign it in to law it had to meet whatever criteria he was willing to compromise with. But the same thing can be said about Obama, but either way, their sginature had to be on it to become law and they both take full responsibilty for it. Correct?

Well, we know 0bama didn't write the bill.... it was farmed out to
Robert Creamer. who was a felon convicted of bank fraud. 0bama only wrote and passed one bill in the US Senate.... which was "foreign aid to the Democratic Republic ofthe Sudan". All those bills he claimed to have written in the US Senate, he added his name as a "sponsor", something anyone can do after the fact. He did the same thing in the Illinois legislature
    to pad his own resume'.

I do not believe he will. Let's not forget that "ObamaCare" is based on RomneyCare. Is he going to repudiate his own healthcare law? Killing ObamaCare is akin to killing his own grandchild. He may not be running on his credentials as the former governor of Massachusetts but he's proud of what he accomplished with HIS healthcare law.

I wont need to. Romney is lying to you and only changed his position once he started running in 2011. Originally he was 100% for Romneycare at the national level and especially the mandate.

No, Romney is not lying. You liberals want to say that doing what the majority of an entire state wanted is the same as doing what the majority of an entire country does not want, your argument is NOT valid.

Romney gave the people what they wanted, Obama shoved what the majority of the people did not want right down their throats.

I will take Romney ANY day over the Marxist overlord Obama you love so much.

Apparently you dont listen to a single word anyone says, including Mitt Romney.

All you do is attempt to rationalize why Romney would be so "liberal" as governor rather than just accept the simple truth that he supports the same agenda as OBama.

Is that the only defense you can come up with is to call people liberals when they are clearly against all liberal ideology, even the ones you support? Romney is a closet liberal like McCain and if you support him then you are the real liberal. SO stop with your bs crap about some hidden BS about trying to get Obama re elected. It is you and those alike that obviously like the path we are on in order to support Obama's political twin Romney.

(smile) I suppose that man that stated this saw destruction everywhere also. It's just that simple.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Cuz, it is pointless... it is way over their heads to even get a true grip, it is why it is the best ponzi scheme ever, because it is happening in their face and they still don't see it. It will be the demise of this country, not the actual scheme itself but the denial of the American people that they are being robbed of everything. I it truly sad, and depressing for me to think about and that my children have been robbed of everything before they even had a chance.

Exactly!! Its hard to believe anyone when they use the repeal word in the same sentence as government. What ever happened to the promise from Republicans getting rid of the Dept. Of Education? Its more of a campaign slogan now than a reality. Much like a repeal of Roe vs. Wade.
