Do you think it is time for a third viable political party?

It seems to me that the dems are too far to the left and the republicans can at times come down too far to the right and neither party really represents the heart of mainstream America. We could use a third party that truely represents what Americans really think, not what Hollywood thinks and not what big business thinks. The money talks and that is all we hear. It is time for the rest of us to create a platform of acceptable politicians from the left and right that more clearly represent our true beliefs. I vote for Joe Lieberman & John McCain to start.

Yes we need a new political party, one that's goal is uphold the constitution as written by our founding fathers. I would choose Ron Paul for the new party.

I've never sided with either party. Why can't we all just decide on what is best for the nation overall, without having to choose any side?

Not McCain. He wants open borders. I'd love to know why. My family lives in Tuscon, Arizona, his state. The crime rate thie has encreased to an all time high. He (McCain ) pays no attention to his own people. I think he needs to get out of politics. I do feel a third party is due. None of them in DC think of the people. It's first money , than power. They all make me sick

90% of our elected officials are crooks and care only for themselves and for any who could line their pockets.

What do you mean the dems are to far to the left and the rep. "at times"
are to far to the right? there is not a hairs difference between the dems and reps except for sound bites. Liberman and McCain are just as phoney as the other politicians. I believe McCain is a brave and honorable man for what he did during the Viet.War but in the last eight years he has turned into just another politician that will say anything to get elected.
We need a viable third party with a competent alternative to the sound bite crowd. We need a populace that will vote for someone even though they are not the favorite or have a viable chance to win. We all vote for who we think will win and not for whom we believe will do a good job.

well I believe that despite what the media would have you believe, most americans lean toward conservative values and the trend seems to be that more people are fed up with liberal ideals. Some people just can not stop associating conservatism with wealth. For what ever reason they are bitter. The funny part is there are more ultra rich Democrats than there are republicans. TRy to find a republican in Hollywood, You might have to turn over a few stones just to find Bruce Willis and Tom Selleck. The alternative is to vote for the person who most represents your belief system. Democrat or Republican aside. That is what I do. Although a registered Republican I have voted for Democratic Senators in our state for the past 20 years. I would vote for John McCain in a heartbeat If he chooses Joe Lieberman to Run with him it would be great! Two men of absolute principal and bravery.

What about no parties? IDK, seems like we spend as much time arguing Dem v Rep instead of the actual issue(s).

I'm still perturbed that they wouldn't let Nader debate. I think there is a concerted effort to quell any party aside from the two archaic parties from fully emerging into American politics. Which makes sense because all Americans easily fall under one of two categories.

There are other parties you know. And the Democrats are not that far left. They are on the right end of the spectrum with the Republicans.

The Repubs keep steadily moving left with the Dems.

If you need proof, read the party platforms going back through the years.

There was a time when Democrats opposed communism, were pro-life, pro-military and lowered taxes.

    Need more proof?

Name three pro-life Democrats. (and I mean those that vote pro-life, not Harry Reid democrats that are pro-life only when running for office).
