Unless the person you're hugging is related to you in some way, then save it for outside the workplace. It's just too risky nowadays. What's more important... a hug or your job?
Oh, get over it people! I had a friend lose his job for putting his hand on a coworker's shoulder. Even though he was cleared of any wrongdoing, the business decided he was too much of a risk. This is a very religious, VERY married man.
WTF???
Hugs do not belong in the workplace. There is no need for employees to touch each other in the work environment, unless it's to pick someone up from the floor or in some way give physical assistance. Any touch in the workplace can be misconstrued as sexual harassment.
If you know the person you're hugging and you know they're cool with it. I wouldn't go around starting to give people hugs though if they're not expecting it.
WTF???
