That is just one element (albeit a very critical element) of a far more complicated and sinister conspiracy that leads us to a one world government, one world religion, and the rule of the anti-Christ. I know you say you don't hold to this line of thinking but, in my view, the only way for a conspiriacy of the magnitude of which we both believe is taking place, could take place, is when transcendant power is involved. If this were only a conspiracy of men, it would have been exposed by someone long ago. The fact that these conspiracies involve many political entities, several generations, and hundreds, if not thousands of individuals, leads me to believe that these are not conspiracies of men but of devils.
Yeah - I know - God's name can be thrown around in every meaningless and careless way where His name is nothing more than a figure of speech but when a person really wants to talk about God as a reality, people get all flustered and anal retentive. That's sad to me. We have unbelieveable problems facing our country and we all sit back trying to figure out why things are as bad as they are. Evil men are everywhere, particularly in the highest levels of power and we, as a people, are the pawns in their world. So they think. Apart from that God, about Whom you don't want to talk, we have no power other than the delusion of a vote and the right to express our opinions (for whatever that's worth). That, in reality, won't even get you a cup of coffee at the local diner. But, with God, all things are possible. Thanks be unto God which giveth us the victory through our Lord jesus Christ. In Christ, there is real HOPE and positive Change. Have a good day.
Believe me, if that ever takes place there will be a whole lot of people crying out to God for help. Perhaps even you. I am thankful that I can go to Him before anything like that ever happens and I know, that if it ever does occur, I will not have to go through it alone. Faith in the Lord has carried me through many difficulties in the past 37 years and I know that He will continue to guide me in the future.
First off, I have yet to resort to name calling and insults. I don't believe there's a place for it in intelligent, intellectually honest debate.
The US military cannot legally operate within the boundaries of the United States, and the Bill of Rights does not protect you "anywhere else in the world".
Now, you categorically stated, the Bill of Rights has been completely obliterated. So lets go down the list:
1. Freedom of speech, religion, free press, assembly, etc.
Still intact.
2. Right to keep and bear arms.
While the left wants to take it, mine is completely still intact.
3. Protection from quartering.
Got it.
4. Unreasonable search and seizure.
Been some questionable actions, but they generally don't hold up in court. Still there.
5. Due process, double jeopardy, self incrimination, eminent domain.
Still there.
6. Trial by jury, speedy trial, right to counsel, etc.
Is this the one you're worried about? Still there.
7. Jury trial.
Yup, I still have that one.
8. Excessive bail, cruel and unusual punishment.
While the bail part is sometimes crazy, this one is still pretty solid.
9. Protection of rights not specified.
Not sure this has ever met Supreme Court challenge, but I believe it's fully intact.
10. Powers of the states and people.
This is at the heart of a lot of things like gay marr...

This is at the heart of a lot of things like gay marriage, states rights, SB1070 etc. Some iffy practices by the Feds, but still pretty solid.
Don't see a single one obliterated within the boundaries of this great land.
I never insulted you I said you are not paying attention, and I am standing by that. 7. is gone... you THINK it is still there but it isn't. Pretty soon you will believe me, because you will see it happen. 4, gone, that has already been happening. It has happened to me personally. 1 has been slowly going out the window.
The military can now operate in the united states. When I said anywhere in the world, that was including here in America. Everything we think we have now is an illusion. EVERYTHING. I am sorry that you can't see that. No point in talking anymore, you won't listen.
All I can say is (and this will be my last word) I don't disagree that there is a slow and steady erosion of our civil rights in this country. I totally agree with you. I would submit to you that makes this the most important time in our history to get involved in the process and stay involved to hold these peoples' feet to the fire. I don't trust any of them either, but I vote my values at every level. And if they don't hold to those values they get fired. Our system is a good one, and it's our civic duty to hold them accountable to keep it that way.
Ok. You have to realize then that these to men work for the same people trying to take these rights away from us. Both of them. If the Republicans wanted something good, they picked the wrong candidate.
Rock, you're sounding entirely too down. You're much too likable and upbeat a person to be making the kinds of sounds you are. Life is a journey, not a destination. Neither of us has liked the direction in which our country seemed to be traveling for the past several years, probably more than four from both our perspectives, but the air is fraught with promise that a much more acceptable course will soon be steered. And, if not, then one will just have to stay in harness to see if pulling harder and farther will turn things around in the time that then follows Yes, a total housecleaning in DC would be nice, and the likelihood of getting it is quite remote, but there are bigger worries - and joys - in life than politics, though I often think that the Ancient Greeks frequently awarded government office by lottery, and that system sometimes has great attraction to me. Whatever. Yes, we are on a highway to hell, but all highways go both ways. Get a good night's sleep and meet tomorrow w/ a smile.
O.K. for you.
