I
am none religious not atheist, but religion in itself does not determine ones
moral, ethical and self spirituality that controls conscience of what is right
and wrong, But the truth is Christians on a higher average have higher moral
standards. That out forefathers believed
strongly was the pillars of our nation's foundation.

And I will happily continue toppling the houses of cards.
The best answer I've seen on this subject is:
"Religion is like a penis; It's fine to have one, it's fine to be proud of it, but PLEASE don't whip it out in public and start waving it around, and don't try to shove it down my children's throat!"
There are SOME Atheists that overstep their bounds, just like there are some Religious nuts who do the same. John Adams said: "The purpose of the separation of church and state is to keep, forever from these shores, the ceaseless strife that has soaked the sands of Europe in blood for centuries!" YOU are not helping that cause!
LOL
Who holds the "higher" moral standard? The one that is good to others out of an inborn will to treat others as they would also like to be treated, or the one that refrains from raping and pillaging... just because an ancient book told them not to.
Hmm...
Atheism isn't a party to agree with. You either believe in a God, or not. The fact that naturally occurring atheism simply tends to create societies that are far more peaceful is just a product of getting rid of faith, IMO. A liberal use of faith instantly breeds irreconcilable differences between people. BIG ones. There is no logic that will resolve, or change utterly faith based beliefs. This is the exactly the opposite of critical thought and reasoning. Something pervasive for many atheists because there are no mental boundaries to such things. We have no irreconcilable "hang ups" that instantly cause angst between our fellow man.
Atheists have higher moral and ethical standards than Christians do, almost universally. In fact, Satanists and Wiccans are generally more moral and ethical than Christians as well. Christianity has become a cloak for greed and bigotry in the U.S.
Atheists have not worked for the destruction of Christianity. They have worked to defend our constitutional right to freedom of religion. If you want to live in a Christian theocracy, go live in one. The U.S. is not one, so if you want to live here, then deal with the fact that your religious views don't rule the roost.
Spirituality is hokum. People know right from wrong. I give much more credit to those who do what is right BECAUSE it is right than to those who do what is right because they're afraid of some sky daddy.
Religion is doing what you are told, regardless of what is right."
Other than that, what they may hold to in the affirmative is all on them: If they want to believe they envolved from apes, for instance, I say let them have at it.
Claims ownership of moral values - check.
Confuses opinion with truth and facts - check.
Makes horrible spelling and grammatical errors - check.
Well, it seems you have everything covered here. Carry on.
Do unto other as you would have them do unto you. (Religious or not it holds truth)
I, being Neutral, say what you like.
The proof, right here.
