FBI background checks already exist for all new firearms sales. These calls by dishonest politicians for checks which already exist are but a decoy for registration and licensing which is blatantly unconstitutional.

"The Nazis, for example, used a national firearms registration system eventually to confiscate all guns and, as they deemed necessary, to execute gun owners" - Anthony J. Dennis

"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilised nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future! - Adolf Hitler

"A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie. - Vladimir Ilyich Lenin

"Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. The prohibition of private firearms is the goal. - Janet Reno

No! Not if this leads to registration. That's the first step to confiscation. Crime went up 300 % in the UK when they went after their registered guns, cause you know the criminals aren't turning in their guns.

My vote is No, This is already required in all 50 states.

Current Federal Laws Required by the Brady Act
In order to determine what individuals do fall subject to these conditions, the Brady Act provides for the use of NICS, an FBI database, to perform quick and efficient background checks on all potential gun purchasers. Sometimes, these background checks might run for three days, but most often they take place over the duration of a single phone call. If the background check does not come back with a denial within those three days, then the gun purchase may be completed anyway. Thus, the backgrounds checks are an easy, unobtrusive way to ensure that those individuals who assuredly should not be allowed to purchase a gun, are in fact prevented from doing so.

Actually if you are talking about that 40% as per the media. Rad a little about that study. That study was preformed in 1994 thru 1997, before the Brady Act.

Now as for going to a gun show and purchasing a firearm without a background check. If it is a legal gun and we are not talking swap meet or flea market sales. In order to register and go to a legal gun show you must hold a legal permit to own and purchase before entry. So although a background was not done at the time of purchase, you have had it done before you ever entered.

You are making an ass of yourself. Let's try again. Put your money where your large mouth is.

What, in detail, was the background check performed on Ofraud? And if this was such a detailed background check, then why has he concealed all of his records?

Please! At least think of what you're saying, difficult as that may be! I'm again reminded of the saying "Better to keep one's mouth shut and appear a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."
Your feeble whining of "Ofraud" is infantile, and shows your lack of worldview to be nothing short of breathtaking. You woiuld do far better by just enjoying your mass Sulk Fest with you other simple minded conspiracy theorists, the likes of which are assuring the rest of the civilized world yet another Election victory in 2016. So I'll extend my thanks for that, at least! :)

At this point, your lack of anything to say, other than copy/paste ad nauseum is tedious at best, and quite frankly obtuse! As I said, get an education, or just read a little. It's quite painless really! You might even enjoy discovering a world beyong your local bowling alley, not to mention the answer to your embarrassingly ridiculous question! Good luck! :)

With every copy/paste you dig your hole of imbecility deeper still. Google it, Einstein! And before making such an ignorant spectacle of yourself, you might want to detail your "concealed records". Now run along! There is actually a horizon out there! :)
