They offer free or reduced health care to poor women and poor children. That should be worthy of support by any decent American.

Sadly the spirit of Margaret Sanger still lingers. Her original intent and results were evil. Murder in the form of abortion is a blight on our land. The multiple, window dressing things they do to project a good image and attract participants does NOT overshadow the main MONEY MAKER that supports all else. It's a huge money generator fed principally off of the abortion mill. Many more women are being scarred emotionally for life, than could possibly ever justify PP's existence. Putting lipstick on a pig and a pink bonnet does little to disguise it.

As soon as it is possible for women to get unbiased advice anywhere, I may reconsider my support of Planned Parenthood. In today's environment, with a large group financing pure lies about the rights of women, I by necessity will continue financial support of Planned Parenthood.

I support most of what planned parenthood does. They are a very affordable source for women's health care and for contraception. I do not support abortion as birth control or to decide the sex of your child. I only support abortion when the mother's life and health are truly endangered. This is not a religious view on my part. There are two lives involved in a pregnancy. The mother and the baby. The baby has the right to life. It may not be fair but the mother whether she wants the baby or not is responsible for it's life. Once born she can place the baby up for adoption.

less than 3% of what PP does has to do with abortions. They provide health care for poor women, men and children.

Because it provided health care at a reduced price, or free for those who could not otherwise afford it. I used PP when I was in college, and it was a great service. Family planning and education are very important, the more educated a person is, the easier their access to contraceptives and exams, the less likely they are to have unwanted pregnancies. The first step to not having an abortion, is to not get pregnant.

Because I can. Both in good conscious and as an informed decision. Planned parenthood, like many other affordable healthcare clinics provide valuable services in the prevention and treatment of health related issues to the economic disadvantaged populace. Whether its pap smears or birth control, Its a medical health organization equally deserving of the respect of doctors offices, hospitals and other for profit healthcare entity's.

You support Planned Parenthood based in your own words “our economy like this, we really ought to be responsible!”

You must be the minority in Your Country on this issue because Your Country’s Government still believes in the sanctity of Life.

You should really make an effort to educated yourself on the History of Planned Parenthood since You're a minority in the U S A, check out the origin.

    Ever heard of Margret Sanger?

Which is why I replied to your comment. That's why you not being from the USA didn’t have an impact on why I replied to you; I’m just showing you facts why PP isn’t good for Any society.

Even in the Philippines (where you're from) the government won’t let this massacre accrue.

Thankfully, your Country still upholds the sanctity of LIFE!

Planned parenthood doesn't necessarily have to kill anyone..you just have to plan well on when you're ready to become a parent..i mean we can't deny the fact that more and more cases of abortion was because they are unwanted and unprepared since most of them are still young to be a mother. Can't we just be open enough to talk about the pros and cons of being pregnant to anyone, most specially the teens who are very curious and aggressive enough to do have premarital sex.

    Your points are taken.
However, if PP wasn’t just in the business of Killing Unborn Babies, then maybe the conversation would be different.
In the USA alone it has become a lucrative Business with a Profit and more and more women not just “teenagers” are having abortions in lieu of BC or sex preference like in China; that’s a problem!
Hence, when any Nation No longer values Innocent Life, that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Consequently, I respect your Country and its Government that’s willing to take a stand and Protect Innocent Life; I wish my Country would take the same measures.
By the way, I don’t know if you have teenage children, while they are very curious it’s still the parents’ job to educate their children and remind them of the responsibilities that are associate with sex.
While, some societies have become prevalent in believing that having a child is a “nuisance” rather than a Gift from God, we must remember that there are some sexual diseases that can sterilize or even kill a person.
Furthermore, teenagers are undoubtedly irresponsible; it’s a natural process that leads them eventually into adulthood.
So why than does ANY responsible parent or adult want to promote BC to our teenagers?

my son thought of condoms...my son knew the consequences of unprotected sex, and he knew that condoms, like other forms of birth control, don't always work... I provided condoms for him from the time he was 14, and he did not have sex for the first time until he was almost 18, because he knew he wasn't ready for fatherhood if the condom broke... he's in his mid-twenties now, and there has never even been a pregnancy scare, much less any abortions or grandbabies for me!

    educating our kids works
helping them be safer works too

what doesn't work is moralizing, and demanding that they blindly obey

Her comment is what keeps PP alive in the U S A.
Did You also notice that her son was given condoms at the age 14, but chose not to use them; what does tha say?
My oldest child knows about sex b/c I have also talked to her, but the difference between darlene’s comment and mine's that I taught my child to have self respect and that if she’s incapable of taking care of herself as a teenager then SEX isn’t and shouldn’t be her pass time.
In the U S A there are many Liberal parents as you have saluted darlene, her son had he taken his mom’s advise would have probably had an “unwanted” pregnancy that most likely would have ended up in an Abortion.
To add, my husband’s mother gave him condoms when he was 15 yrs old and his sister was on the pill before the age of 18 yrs.
Now my husband the father of a 16 yr old daughter would NEVER EVER consider this option.
Our children are being raised Catholic and we believe what the Church teaches; Marriage before Sex.
Don’t get me wrong, once my children leave our home and CAN fend for their selves, whatever they do whether to have sex before marriage or not, it will be their decision and our conscience will be free of mind knowing that we taught our children what’s right and they will now have the Free Will to chose as they want and find fit for themselves.

Good to hear that you're against Abortion.

I'd never guess that based on your support of PP.

While, in the U S A their success rate comes from Abortion, which in turn is a Lucrative Business.

Sadly, those that teach “safe sex” are the ones who's BC fails tend to turn to Abortion.

Planned Parenthood provides an extraordinary number of health services and contraceptives to poor and working class women. By law not a single drop of tax money goes to the paltry 3% of abortions that Planned Parenthood provides. If you support reducing the causes for abortion[lack of inexpensive contraceptives] and the overall health of women in the country you should view the government subsidies as something positive. Because there would likely be more abortions without these funds. abortionlack inexpensive contraceptives health women country view government subsidies positive
