We must fight back, teach people the truth about this sickness infecting out society. I would rather have gay marriage than have schools teaching children that it is okay to be gay. But my preference would be to outlaw all manifestations of homosexuality.

And in days of prayer and the pledge, we had reduced violence and bad behavior. And schools was a much safer place. The realization of God and Country, both being greater then themselves reduced selfish god complex children who think they are above all. And not required to folllow rules. Which abound today.

God is just.The Bible tells us to stone all those who practice homosexual intercourse. No, but I support eliminating government involvement with marriage and going to only civil unions for everyone. Then, those who wish to "marry" can do so thru their churches, synagogues, etc.
Of course, what we really need to do is change all "marriages" according to any legal or government documents to say "civil unions", instead, since that is what they are. Then, leave it to the individual religions to call something a "marriage" or not, since some allow same-sex marriages, and some don't. Those religions who are forcing this to remain an issue, by not allowing other religions to practice their ceremonies, simply because of their bigotry is ludicrous. That is why they should ALL be civil unions.
Who am I to stop two people in love from marrying, kissing each other goodbye on the street or, any other behavior I would think nothing of between a hetro couple.

It's not a phenomenal distraction for gay people who simply want equal rights. As far as God's laws go, those are in the old testament...the legalism of the bible. When Jesus came into the scene, the only rules he put down were to believe in him and love thy neighbor as you would yourself. He taught tolerance and understanding. You must have obviously missed that in your lessons. Even in God's most famous laws, the 10 Commandments, he did not mention homosexuality. If was important to him as you're making it out to be, he would have mentioned it. Jesus told us to remove the beam from our own eyes before worrying about the speck in anothers. He also told us judgment is up to God, not us. Judge, lest ye be judged. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Perhaps those are the passages you should be focusing on.

As the younger generations make up a larger share of the public, the balance of opinion shifts inexorably in the direction of gay marriage. It will happen in due time.
