Thank you. I have gay friends. They try to hit on me. It won't work. All I am saying that I think they are just nice people. WW II veterans on history channel are praying to God for courage. Better be them to defend than their kids or nephews or nieces. They could die in battle believing in God. If majority of people believes in God and voted not to have same sex marriage. End of story. Majority Rules. If same sex marriage wins. I have to live with that. It will make God a liar and none existence. Gays mission is to ultimately destroy God. They despice God. They think that God had made them unnatural. Disabled and mentally challenge people don't blame God. They accept it and pray to God to be healed.

All things being said, it's all about "EQUALITY". That's something we should all support.

I have had people tell me that being gay is what God wanted. some say they were repeatedly raped as a child and they grew to like it....there are so many different answers that NO ON KNOW WHAT THE ACTUAL TRUTH IS.

I was raised catholic and attended catholic grade school and high school. So I was indoctrinated well into the god BS. The difference between you and I is that I opened my eyes and saw the truth. There is no god. Never was and never will be. I was all made up by con men looking for money power and control. You claim you know Jesus, do you live a christlike life? Do you follow all of his teachings? Do you believe everything in the bible? No religion is good. It teaches hate and makes people judge others. How many people have died in the name of god? If the number is one or above then your religion is BS. Lastly, I would put the works and actions of my life up against anyone. I have always been honest, caring and generous to others. If I saw someone who needed help I was there. That's more than most of your so called church going christians. Take you religion and put it here the sun don't shine. This god crap has got to go!

Obviously the Catholic church did not teach you well. The Catholic church has many more formalities than other churches. The only thing Jesus asks of any of us is to believe in him (if you do not believe in him, believe in the work he does) and love thy neighbor as you would yourself. That's it. I'm sorry you feel so negatively towards him but God will not be going anywhere!

Perhaps the church didn't do a good job of indoctrination me. I guess I always was a Free Thinker deep inside. Problem is that Logic will win out in the long run and religion and the god myth will be put to rest. From what I was told this Jesus character was a good guy.I would say that Jesus was much like myself. He was someone who cared for others, always did what he could to help someone else, stood up and brought injustices to light despite the penality he would face. Son of god, not even close. So if we take anything from the bible I wish it would be this rule: Always treat others as you would have them treat you. The rest should be put to waste. Wouldn't it be a much nicer world?

Most definitely....I believe "do unto others as you would have others do unto you" Matthew 7:12 is one of the best quotes in the Bible. Apparently, some things from the Catholic church did have an effect on your life. Just because you've stopped believing in Jesus does not mean he's stopped believing in you.

I have many Catholic and ex-Catholic friends, including my husband. They are good people but have great confusion about Christianity. Not a judgment just an observation.

i wouldnt go judging the bible completely. i mean it does have its oxymorons. The Bible mentions a union between a man and a woman, but doesnt God love all.

What if they are not seeking a union before god? Maybe they just want the legal protections as all other married couples.

I am actually not saying that it should be banned in churches. I am saying that the argument against that makes a tad more sense than the one against homosexual marriage in general. I do not think the gov't should force churches to marry anyone but I do think churches need to be more open-minded and accept "all of god's children" lol.
