    Absolutely, its a shame that its no longer even being discussed.

    Unless we can reign in the special interest lobbyists who are writing some of the legislation/bills for their bought and paid for politicians we are doomed in a vicious cycle of self serving politicians who are more concerned about staying in office than doing whats in the best interest of their constituents and the nation.

    We need to reform the house rules, secret votes, demand impact studies and the intent and purpose of legislation. Piggy backing unrelated bills should be prohibited.

    It's time to get politicians to serve the people and not their campaign donors. Political debates are enough, we don't need billions of dollars spent on conventions & hateful campaign ads and politicians owing favors.

    I personally believe that the biggest issues still are campaign finance reform and the selling out of our government officials to corporations and special interest groups. Therefore those who are raising the most money are the ones we should not be voting for, they are selling their souls for something and you can bet it's not for the benefit of the common man, more likely the rich and powerful.

    Frightening. Incredibly huge sums of money spent on advertising - just think what we could do with some of that in addressing some of the huge issues we are facing today.

    As much as I hate to concede that not allowing people to what they with their money is an infringement on their liberty, I think in the end all we can do is regulate in order to prevent outright bribery.

    Do you believe in non-disclosure for large sums of money, so that voters don't know what companies, groups, etc., support or don't support a candidate? This legislation is called the Disclosure bill. It will mean donors can't remain anonymous by hiding behind groups/PACs, etc.

    No. Disclosure is part of campaign finance reform. It is definitely not another matter entirely. If you read my post you will see that the subject is the Disclose bill that is now in Senate committee. I hope you will sign it.
