CEO John Mackey claims that there are alternatives to President Obama and the Progressive Wing of the Democratic Party's prescription for Statist "health care".
He lays out his case in the Wall Street Journal. He also walks his talk at Whole Foods, where nine out of ten employees have medical benefits and enjoy a higher pay and better working conditions than others in the industry.
Mackey agrees that the system is broken, and gives a wholistic set of solutions, rather than the plodding and stupid "One Size Fits All Answer" from DC.

I think.....
That being said, Mr Mackey deserves support for his courage. Most CEOs are so damn gulled by the Left, when in fact if they ever grew a damn backbone the Left would be cut off from a lot of their funding - foundations and shakedowns.
I think.....
What is really horrible about "Health Care" is that it will entrench these problems still deeper, making them far harder to cure. At least until the US Government starts to default on its bills.
Yes. An alternative to "Progress", one that will work.
Remove the legal obstacles that slow the creation of high-deductible health insurance plans and health savings accounts (HSAs).
Equalize the tax laws so that employer-provided health insurance and individually owned health insurance have the same tax benefits.
Repeal all state laws which prevent insurance companies from competing across state lines.
Repeal government mandates regarding what insurance companies must cover.
Enact tort reform to end the ruinous lawsuits that force doctors to pay insurance costs of hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.
Make costs transparent so that consumers understand what health-care treatments cost
Enact Medicare reform
Finally, revise tax forms to make it easier for individuals to make a voluntary, tax-deductible donation to help the millions of people who have no insurance and aren't covered by Medicare, Medicaid or the State Children's Health Insurance Program.
Help a gal out, I am confused.
