    What am I supposed to do with thirty years of VHS tapes throw them away? Nope as long as that Fischer top loading VCR I bought back in the 1970's for $700 still works those VHS tapes are still good.

    As long as we have our VHS and DVD combo box at home I will still be watching tapes with it.

    The VHS movies I have are pretty much all Disney movies I watched a lot when I was little. Ex: Robin Hood, Bug´s Life, Aladdin, etc. :)

    Although like cassettes I have a crapload of vhs tapes I don't have a player anymore but I have been thinking about buying one of those machines that transfers to cd as I have several tapes with my boys on them growing up through the years....and some cool movies.

    I have a VHS, but have not used it in years. It may not even work. I have and 8 track player as well. I keep thinking that one of these day I will digitize the music, but I spend to much time here. My wife still has the tape when Luke and Lora got married.

    While I did finally manage to get rid of dozens of old VHS tapes (some went way back to the Olympic Games of the 1980s), a few still remain on the shelf.

    I have literally hundreds of movies on VHS that I rarely watch, many of which have no replacement available in DVD, or just aren't important enough to me to buy the DVD. If there were a reliable way to transfer the tapes to DVD I would, but every transfer I've tried has invariably resulted in a crappy end product.

    VCR has died and gone years ago. I have some children's Christmas and Disney VCR tapes. I use only DVDs now :--)
