I regret voting for Barack Obama.
I don't regret voting for Barack Obama.
I didn't vote for Barack Obama.

Between an expensive stimulus package and questionable appointees, President Barack Obama may have kept the nation divided in controversy rather than uniting it. Now that the Obama has been in the office long enough to make some real changes, do you have any second thoughts about how you voted in the Presidential election?

The man's been in office barely a month and you're already asking this question?

That said, I'll never regret voting for such a brilliant and well-adjusted candidate.

Now Bush... Different story. He was a regret before he was elected. Thankfully, this voter bears no responsibility in that horrid mistake.

Enough with the 2 month arguement. It actually proves why shouldn't have voted for him. Because in 2 months he has utterly destroyed the ecconmy and plunged us into a debt bush never could have.

I'm starting to think you people are just ignorant of what this man has actually been doing in office...

The man has been in office less than 2 months. The mindless slug of a genetic mutation whom was in that office for 8yr prior to Obama might have had a more substantial hand in our country's current economic mess than did Obama.

Obama has outspent bush 2 fold in 2 months compared to 8 years.
    8 years = 96 months
    96 months./2 months = 48
    2(twice as much)x48 = 96

Obama is speding money we dont have ~96 times faster than bush and has already surpassed him.

    You do the math...

Oh, and if you want to blame anyone for the current housing crisis, do some research on sub prime lending, high risi lending, bill clinton, and jimmy carter.

Add that to the rest of what Bush cost us and that means that Bush's mess cost every man, woman, and child in the US $82,000 and growing.
  • Lurch Wavebossa 2009/03/02 23:14:55

    LMAO.

Bush wasted $700B in October of last year alone. Obama has only spent $780B in the two months he has been in office in order to clean up Bush's mess!

So, if Bush would have NOT made the mess in the first place, Obama would have had to spend zero to clean it up.

This is all 100% on Bush until the Bush mess is cleaned up and the Bush debt is paid off. Til then, you can keep whining all you want but thinking Americans know who did this to us and who inherited the mess.

The war has cost 1.0 trillion to date. Obama just spent 3.6 trillion and he did it in 3 weeks and oh ya he just gave AIG an undisclosed amount in the billions..
Bush did it, Bush did it.
It,s raining and I will miss the ball game...Bush did it! He is retired. Get over him... After all, I got over Clinton!

    LOL.

The war estimate was over $2 trillion back in 2004. Before interest!

And where did you get this $3.6 trillion figure? Rush?!? Good grief man, question unauthority!

I will get over Bush when he pays me back the $14 trillion (see I can exaggerate too) he stole from us taxpayers.
  • Ssgtwaldo Lurch 2009/03/03 22:31:07

No exaggeration. I got my information from the GAO (gao.gov). 3.6 trillion is the fy-2010 "modified" budget not including the 1 trillion for the payback and earmarks that Obama just signed! What ever happened to Obama's promise of NO EARMARKS? Obama is the lyingest prez we have since the last DemonRat was in the office......The worst for the military since Carter. The worst for gun owners since Clinton.

I haven't listened to Rush in a long time. But after the bitch slapping he gave to Obama at CPAC last weekend I will listen to him now! You should too. The problem you have with Rush is he's right.....I love it! listened rush bitch slapping obama cpac weekend listen rush love

First of all President Obama has 7.5 years to go to catch bush on spending. At least President Obama is trying to spend money on the needs of Americans and not wasting our money on a needless war of which all that money could have on homeland security, secure our borders and insure every american citizen is able to obtain and afford health Insurance. I have health Insurance that the premium has almost doubled in the last year and a half. I can most likely keep it for a few years at this rate. But what about others who can't afford one year. I know that I would give mine away to someone who is in need. We are americans, we can do better than this. President Obama needs time for his policies to work. Six months is to early to critical of him when he is trying to fix eight years of problem. He has a job that everybody has an answer for, but nobody want's.

I will be the first one to admit that Bush did some really bad things, especially in the second of his two terms. And also he lit the fuse that started the bomb of over spending that hit the American tax payers.
But to go from Bushes mistakes, and to turn the bomb, into a hydrogen bomb is no excuse for the word "CHANGE."

This why I didn't vote for Obama

This is from a friend in Oklahoma.

The Sooner Gun show in Tulsa was a great success with guns and ammo flying off the tables. One dealer sold 100,000 rounds of ammo in two hours on sat. There is no ammo on the docks and no ammo coming into the states in the near future. The over seas venders have been told by the U.S. gov. that encoded ammo is coming in the very near future. The vender is a very large one (Cheaper than Dirt) and I know him so it's straight poop. The cost of ammo is 4 times what it was 2 months ago (the Obama effect) and if "encoded ammo" comes about you can double that. ("if they can't buy ammo that's as good as a ban. Brady 12/07)

    This from Eric Holder.
On Wednesday, February 25, just over five weeks after Inauguration Day, Attorney General Eric Holder announced that the Obama Administration will seek to reinstate the expired federal "assault weapon" ban and impose additional restrictions.

"As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons," Holder said. Based on Holder's testimony during his confirmation hearings before the Senate, those other "changes" include prohibiting private transfer...""

[snip]

Holder is so bad that the wicked screw of the left Pelosi, reminded Holder that she makes the laws he just enforces them. Holder is one dangerous man and the "Bill of Rights" and the "Constitution" mean nothing to him. Like he told the supreme court in Heller-V-DC and I quote, "Americans have no right to protect themselves, in their homes with guns". end quote.

God help us cause Obama won't..........

The tempest has started. Most of the things that Obama supporters said he wouldn't do he is doing and it's been < 2 months. Our president is a lier!

If these bible toting, gun toting bigots would stop hating him so much and give him a chance to try and make things right we may all survive. They FORCED banks to accept high-risk, supprime loans, and now we are supposed to surprised when poor people can't pay their mortgage on 700,000 houses???

And what is Obama's solution? Have taxpayers bail them out and force Fannie and Freddie to make the same loans again.

complete and utter pile of garbage. Blaming a law that was made in the 1970's for a crisis that occurred in the 2000's. Gimme a break. At least try to come up with something plausible next time, ok.

CRA forced banks to stop using predatory lending. The % of CRA foreclosures is less than non-CRA foreclosures because the Bush admin could not gut the CRA loan regulations. They were actually regulated and watched closely.

Now, the Bush admin, Foreclosure Phil, and the rest of the Republicans did everything in their power to gut regulations and fight regulations of the mortgage and credit industry. Look up mortgage-backed securities, the Gramm-Leahy Act, and regulations for starters. No single person has more responsibility for this than George Bush and Phil Gramm. Gramm for actively fighting to create this mess, Bush for lazily fighting to keep the mess going til the very end.

Thanks to Bush, with a deficit equal to 3.2% of our GDP? How about thanks to Obama who nearly quadruples that deficit this year, nearly triples it next year and nearly doubles it the year after that??? Three successive years of record-breaking budgets under Dims and Obama and you are blaming Bush???
  • Lurch Ken "Do... 2009/03/03 07:30:54
    Lurch
    That is all 100% Bush.

If Bush would have cleaned up his own mess way back when the Dems first started warning him about it, none of this would have happened. Heck, if Bush had started cleaning it up even six months into the recession, around April of 2008, we wouldn`t need anywhere near this much spending to stimulate the economy. But no, Bush wanted to hide the truth until after his buddy McCain got elected, so instead of doing the right thing for America, he screwed America and tried to get a political win.

You don`t like govt spending? Should have thought of that before voting for Bush, the worst spender in American history.

If Obama was just wasting money on cronies and special interests like Bush and the Republicans did, I would be at the front of the angry line. But it took Bush eight years to create this mess, it is going to take Obama at least three to fix it. Meanwhile, Bush`s debt just keeps growing and growing, even after he is gone.
  • Ken "Do... Lurch 2009/03/03 18:36:41
    Ken "Don't tread on me!"
Another lie!! It was the Dims' mess and Bush is the one who warned them about it! Bush can be faulted for not pushing harder, but the Republicans never had a large enough majority to bring it to the floor for a vote in the senate. It was clearly Democrats who fought against any regulations on Fannie and Freddie, right up to the bitter end.

Bush may have been the worst spend in American history until January, 2009, but Obama has broken his records, with a vengeance! In three months, Obama has committed to spend more more than was spent from the beginning of this country up until his election. He has committed to spent as much money as there is currently in circulation in U.S. dollars. He has nearly quadrupled the deficit Bush had in 2008! What is it that you cannot seem to grasp about those facts?

We on the left and in the center saw this coming when Bush first starting campaigning in 1999. It was obvious the dry drunk spendaholic had never been able to balance a budget as TX governor or as a Saudi-backed oil company owner. The closest he ever got to making a buck was when he stole private property and raised taxes for his own personal benefit as the TX Rangers Asst GM.
