The way to deal with gangs is to arrest them. If they kill people, execute them. When you execute them, invite other gang members to watch, you will wee how fast gang activity goes away or goes so far underground you will not know they are there.

I'm going to go with a yes, to the no experience with gangs. Arresting them isn't easy, and there plenty of corrupt cops. Many aren't afraid to die, or be arrested, in the first place. And there already are gangs that are very underground(that you don't hear a ton about, such as the Triads) that still operate, conduct just as much crime, and are still violent. I don't mean to be disrespectful(I fear I may have come off as). But you obviously have never been around/exposed to actual gang members and gang environments.

To take guns from those creeps necessitates taking guns from everyone else. If I have to choose between just the creeps and cops having guns, and everyone having guns, I'll go for the latter every time!!

You see, 'those creeps' don't care about the law. They won't care even if we pass a thousand more of them. 'Gun (people)' control would leave the creeps armed while disarming everyone else. Is that what you want?

You can start an intelligence network for gun dealers. Develop a tool for gun dealers to use and make them use it. Just like the no fly list, you can have a no gun list.

You're talking about taking away a specifically enumerated Constitutional *RIGHT*, with no redress or anything.
Any other basic Civil/Human Rights you want taken away?
Want to take away Black votes too?
Then to lock up, gas and burn Jews too?

If you wear a swastika, your breaking the law in my book. They were and are the enemy and will always be. We are letting the Constitution give them new rights, when they lost the war they had no rights and still have no right to rights. Did the Jews they put in the ovens have rights? If you are a Nazi, you are a traitor to this country and should be treated as so.

whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? And the ones wearing swastikas now, are not the guys throwing Jews in ovens. You can not deny someone their rights for something they might do. Otherwise a cop can give you a ticket because you might run a red light

Nope, and it is a felony to have a firearm in your possession during the commission of a crime, not to mention that as felons they are already prohibited from having guns.

All the gun laws that you can think up will have no impact on the criminal element; only those that follow the law will be effected and left defenseless.
