The purpose of a pride parade is to be able to be publicly proud of who you are. A private event would defeat that purpose.

you do know how psychology damaging that is for a person to hide who they are and how they feel about things right?

You do know that people have a right to privacy and its damaging to have some ones elses sex life shoved in your face all the time....go get a room ....gay or straight...I care not

pride events are to make people feel less ashamed of themselves for something they are. it's a nice change for them compared to the nut jobs that attack them all the time saying they should be killed or aren't even human. and besides, I've never have gay people push anything in my face. only fundamentalists do that.

do we need one for straight people? what would you do in it? I don't have groups of people trying to make me feel ashamed for being straight. and besides straight people are always welcome to join pride events. hell, you even see some of the fundamentalists nut jobs pop up on their own freewill. and guess what they are doing? thats right shoving their faith in our faces.

Come on those parades arent any thing but an in your face mess....give it a rest ......those parades are set up to say watch how really vulgar I CAN BE ...THERE IS NO PRIDE THERE and if thats pride...I sure want no part of it......I wouldnt be in a straight sex parade.....why would I .......... my sex life is my private business...I take pride in that

yet the events are set up in a time and place and they let everyone know a head of time when it's going to happen. they are giving warning of it. and the fundamentalists still come screaming and insulting everyone and dehumanizing everyone. who is doing the pushing now?

If you can give me a good reason why a bunch of air heads get dressed up ,or down or not at all and dance and kiss and hug all over each other and just really makes asses out of them selves helps permote understanding,.. let me know ...also there are people who dont follow the parade list that have children and can come across that ...go way way way way out in the country side and express your selves to the cows

oh I'm sure if the person didn't know of the event coming the street closures and signs posted everywhere saying whats going on will also clue them in.

as for the people dancing and kissing and such, during an event set so you are free to express yourself? so? as for the people making asses of themselves are you talking about them right?



it's funny because about every parade here in LA you will see these same people and other groups protesting it.

look I would feel the same if straight people did what the gays do in a parade...there is a time and place for every thing...they need to rent a room or again go way out in the country side
