I question the lack of actions by congress and senate and not using "common sense" to resolve the problems our country faces.

I question why our "Elected Officials" are so eager to ignore their "oath of office" they are sworn to defend and uphold our constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Yet these same "Elected Officials" don't seem to grasp the concept of "liberty" hundreds of thousands of brave souls gave their lives securing and protecting for us.

I also question the citizens of the USA for letting them get away with this for so long.

In a democracy, it is the duty of citizens to question the actions of their elected officials, to be knowledgeable about their form of government, its procedures and its laws, and to critically study and understand any proposed changes to those laws.

Right. We have the ability to do that under a democracy and should use it to it's fullest extent. We have the ability to hire them, by voting for them, and we have the ability to fire them by voting for someone else. It's up to us to decide whether they are doing their jobs and get rid of them when they aren't.

I'd hate to see what the worst was.

It's incredibly stupid not to question what's going on around you. When you do this, you give up the ability to think for yourself.

We have to question them. It's our civic duty. We also have to stop electing them. New blood is what we need; not the same old ones every time.

YES!!!!!!!!!!! I find them incomprehensible, on everything from our ultra-loose budget and monetary policy to excessive regulation and perverted social "free-for-all." I write to Congress, the Administration, and Judges all the time. Usually I get no response, or just a form letter. Not much for $2 trillion plus in federal taxes each year.

Sadly, apart from a few isolated social issues, most GOP's and Democrats are clones of each other, and won't implement the austerity necessary to bring the debt down to a reasonable level. We really need almost 100% turnover in Congress, but I'm not holding my breath. Look at all the damage Obama caused in 4 years, and he still received about 50% of the popular vote in round two. As GWB famously said, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." In the end, We the People have only ourselves to blame.

I fully understand the actions of our elected officials. These actions do not embrace the concerns of the American populus.

To question something is to gain understanding. I already understand.

Only on days that end in "Y"!!!
My Republican Representative(Steve Austria) usually gives me a good, quality answer when I ask questions. However, my Democrat Senator(Sharrod Brown) has only ever given me the run-around. If it isn't a liberal talking point, he wants nothing to do with you.
