I didnt plan on working after age 66 when I retired. Yet here I am at age 72 still working. Is 40 to 50 hours a week part time? Thanks to our elitist politicans I will probably work until they plant me.

Retired at 55 If you have enough stuff to last WHY work your ass off getting more. I want to enjoy mine. It took 35 year's to get it.

Being an insurance agent, I really have no set hours. I have really been part time for awhile now. We should have enough for retirement. But it is a reason why I haven't fully retired.

I am a manual laborer full time and will probably die on the job or end up unable to work period like all the rest I work with

I am going to enjoy our Grandchildren and spend time with them. I am going to my grave poor, because I came into this world with nothing so I will go with nothing. Spending time with our Family is more important than being rich.

Yes, it was planned but right now fighting cancer so plans changed, but yes I loved working but right now I have to build myself up.

In my line of work I don't think my body will hold up much longer. I am 40 and rolling around on the ground fighting on a regular basis takes it's toll on you. By the end of the year I will have a surgery to repair a broken back, and a completely reconstructed right arm. I can't imagine being 60 years old standing toe to toe with a 200 lb Parole hell bent on not going back to prison. People whine about Law Enforcement having a 55 year old retirement age, But I am flat worn out and still have to do another 15 years to get my full retirement. I'm not arguing for better pay and all that, we are paid well (too well in most cases), but Our bodies just don't hold up to our career choice. Just my $.02
On a side note we lost a good man this week, pray for his family and coworkers that are morning and processing this.

I love my job and plan to work as long as possible.

I retired age 60 glad I did, by all accounts everybody in work at the minute has to work till 70 at least. I think they will find the older the staff the more sick days they will have to pay. At my firm they were like the Gestapo, not believing you, they threatened me with dismissal after 20yrs. I thought I have had enough and gave my notice.

I don't even make plans for a week from now. In 40 years, if I'm still around, I'll probably be soiling my adult diaper in some nursing home.

I plan to work full time until the age of 67 for Social Security reasons. After that, who knows.......

I work almost everyday on call 7/24 on a job that is hard on my body!
Had my neck and back broken on the job.... my poor old body has had enough.
I have worked almost every holiday since I hired out in 1976. I'm tired.

Male members in our family for generations that remained employed after 62, lived to 90 years old. The two that didn't, never saw 70, exept one uncle of mine who lived in a nursing home for 9 years before dying at 78. Remain active and purposeful!
