Facebook isn't just about your face anymore. It's not about your friends' faces, either. The largest social network in the world has turned into a content hub that perpetually feeds users the information they want -- and feeds the world information about them in return. Of course, that's not always a good thing. A few months ago, Facebook launched internal apps for external social networking sites like Pinterest and Rotten Tomatoes, and now posts on those sites are showing up on Facebook.
It's all optional, obviously, but think about it. Facebook just bought Instragram, a free program with no revenue, for $1 billion, and much of Facebook's value is in its potential for growth. What if Instagram suddenly required a Facebook account to use? We've already seen some programs that require that. Spotify is the most notorious instance; Vevo is another. Do you mind all the the tie-ins to Facebook or is it all just a little too connected for your taste?

300 messages a day is already beyond my ability to manage, in Yahoo, Facebook, and others. I have other things to do. I already am inundated by messages, where I cannot respond to some, and they get lost...
Although I enjoy typing opinions...sometimes it goes into overkill, and I really do not appreciate Facebook trying to force me to share it on their site. My plate is already full.
I do not want every single option or reply I make online going to every Facebook entry, and Yahoo, and Twitter. It's ridiculous. When I place opinions on here, I already skip the 'broadcast' phase...as it is overkill...and my friends are in the same shape.
What I would love to see would be better ways to organize messages than these sites already have...so it is not so messy...especially the meandering Facebook logs.
ISN'T THAT RIGHT, SODAHEAD??
The next thing you know is on a application for work employers want all our social meeting places & passwords so they can check them out. They have a rude awakening if that starts.
I'm NOT interested in the Gaming .. I'm not there for post silly inane things ..
I'm NOT there to brag about wrong choices .. or try to post on every microsecond of life
(so do NOT need to know when x went to the potty .. or y decided to drink new pepsi light)
There's NO NEED to know or be this intrusive ..
NO ONE 'needs' .. all this info on life ..
There's only ONE Reason now why I even have a portion of a profile ..
Because it is a fast, easy way to share the Upcoming SCHEDULE of events for organizations I belong to .. volunteer with ..
(nothing else .. is wanted or desired).
I'm SINGLE .. but So NOT interested in any TROLL Wanting to find an easy 'date' ..
(UGH .. these guys are true CREEPS in the worst way .. )
WHY isn't there some action on the part of FB to STOP these NASTY TROLLS?
...and this is how people react when I tell them I don't have a facebook account anymore
