I like to fish. More people are probably heading out to do this as times are getting tougher and tougher and they want to learn how to & perfect their skills prior to having to.

Not really my thing...I'd like to learn how though just in case I need it one day.

Yes I did both for many years, just fish now due to back surgery.

I am a vegetarian.

I used to however since becoming a vegetarian 20 years ago I just go for walks in the woods with a camera and "shoot" the critters that way. It pisses off my relatives when I get back to camp and show them what I "shot". They hunt with dogs.

not so much hunting anymore...just dont get the time...

Very much. I grew up and currently live where there is ample space for hunting and fishing. I was duck and grouse hunting this past weekend.

I have done both and will do so again.

Unless it is necessary for survival, then I got no other choice on that matter

The Hubby and I are going to take a Hunters Safety course starting Thurday afternoon!

I harvest both for my family
will I ever be on tv in a big fancy bass fish boat? nope
nor will I take a camara crew to camp
while I may live in the woods
the drive to camp is quiete, slow and Beautiful

It's far healthier for both you and the animals. For you, no feedlot antibiotics and suchlike, no diseases as in farm raised fish. For the animal, they have lived a healthy natural life and die a quick, possibly less painful death. I always thank them for giving their life to feed and promote the lives of me and mine.

My kids and I go fishing every now and then but I gave up hunting a long time ago when it started to seem more like work than fun.

Yes I do and I know some people do eat what they hunt and share with friends and family and as a child I used to live on a farm when I would kill chickens and clean them for soup but the thought of doing it for pleasure just doesn't sit with me and when I look at all the equipment deer hunters use to attract deer as they lay in wait behind comfortable camouflage blinds just seems so cruel and even fishing, I see some fisherman who catch the fish, yank out the hook and throw the poor thing back in the water. )-: I don't know, some people find pleasure in it but I just don't see it.

I fish because I love to. Because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful, and hate the environs where crowds of people are found, which are invariably ugly. Because of all the television commercials, cocktail parties, and assorted social posturing I thus escape. Because in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing what they hate.
Because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed, or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility, and endless patience. Because I suspect that men are going this way for the last time and I for one don't want to waste the trip. Because mercifully there are no telephones on trout waters. Because in the woods I can find solitude without loneliness. ... And finally, not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant and not nearly so much fun.

i do both, i love fishing i go usually on saturdays when its my day off to this lake called buggs island ,va , and far as hunting im fixing to get ready start hunting soon ^^ i deer and rabbit hunt mostly
