Hey Apple, instead of releasing a new iPad every 6-12 months with nothing drastically changed about it, how about actually MAKING drastic changes and RELEASING iPads in moderation... you know, give people time to save and buy one and enjoy it before coming out with a new one for people to rage about because they saved long and hard for the now older iPad.
Just a thought.

Way to go back to your roots, Apple. On Wednesday, the uber-popular tech company revealed that it would be releasing the newest version of the iPad tablet to the masses (the release date is set for March 16.) And while Apple fans and tech enthusiasts alike were desperately searching the internet for the latest news on the "iPad 3", it turns out they had gotten something wrong: the name of the gadget. Because it's actually just called the new iPad. Er, what?
Apple's new CEO, Tim Cook, revealed the name of the product -- and the gadget itself -- in an announcement Wednesday in San Francisco. But other than the name, what's different about "the new iPad"? The biggest new feature is "retina display." That means the new iPad has approximately twice the resolution of the iPad 2 -- the clearest, crispest display on the market. It also needed a beefed-up quad-core A5X processor to power the retina display and keep up with visually demanding games.
Prices will run from $499 to $829, depending on the hard drive space and whether you want 4G. But back to this name business. Do you like the name of the new iPad -- or is it kind of confusing?

I wonder if they will call the 4th gen i pad: The newer I-pad :P
He DID, however, pioneer the use of capacitive touch screens for mobile devices. Like most of his innovations, the technology existed before but Steve solved certain problems and made the whole thing "work" in a new way -- without inventing anything.
Not everything he did was great; Jobs was the guy who nearly bankrupted Apple when the original Macintosh failed to compete as an expensive/closed system vs. the [relatively] open/cheap PC. Once in a while, classic Jobs' mistakes crop up in Apple's game plan. But overall, he's a genius, and the products speak for themselves.
Irrespective of Steve Jobs' contributions, you have a point: Very few people rate Apple "terrible" as a company or as a product. Anyone who wants the alternatives (Android, Linux, Microsoft) can buy whatever they want. People vote with their wallets every day.
1. It's thicker as opposed to thinner
2. It's got a super-high-resolution screen with many tiny LEDs.
3. It has a higher resolution camera (more MegaPixels).
What's the point in all of that with iPad 2's high resolution screen and camera? Unless you're a crazed photographer using your iPad to take the pics.
Plus, you'll pay at least another hundred, maybe two hundred on top.
I never got an iPhone til the 4S came out... I'm not getting iPhone 5 or 6 because chances are it'll be the same thing when they come out. xD
