    Way way way too conservative when will govt learn to to stay out of morality issues,
    Perusal choice issues, personal freedoms. If they really want to save lives ban all firearms in the united states we obviously can't control ourselves with them.

    They need to do 1st day get rid of "OBAMACARE" next cut all funding to "PLANNED PARENTHOOD", "DRUG TEST" EVERYONE ON ANY GOVERNMENT ASSITANCE PROGRAM AND IF YOU TEST POSITIVE ONCE YOUR CUT OFF PERIOD.
    The single women like "OBAMA" BECAUSE OF ALL THE FREE STUFF THAT FOR GOING AND HAVING FUN,, WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT.

    DON'T GET ME WRONG THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT NEED HELP AND ASSITANCE AND I'M NOT OPPOSED TO THAT. BUT I'VE SEE MANY IN THE AREA THAT I LIVE IN AND INCLUDING PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY THAT ABUSE THE SYSTEM. I BELIEVE THAT IF YOU ARE RECEIVING ANY KIND OF ASSITANCE IT SHOULD NOT BE TOTALY FREE, YOU SHOULD HAVE TO GO TO A TRADE SCHOOL OR WORK A HALF DAY 6 DAYS WEEK FOR THE CITY OR COUNTY YOU LIVE IN. And if you refuse then all free stuff ends and if you don't pass school it ends. free stuff

    Ryan's plan makes people who earn less than $10k a year pay a huge percentage of their income (which we CAN'T AFFORD) in taxes, while giving the super-rich hundreds of billions in tax breaks.

    50% of AMERICANS pay know taxs at all. For instance there are some in my family that just sit around waiting for there assitance check to rent,elect, etc. EBT FOOD STAMPS $600.00 MONTH HAS 3 KIDS, DONT WORK NO SCHOOL, GETS A 2500 CHILD ALLOWANCE ON TAX RETURN FOR EACH CHILD, LAST YR SHE GOT BACK 3500 AND DID NOTHING,,, MY TAX MONEY HARD AT WORK.
    THIS IS CRAZY!!!!!!!!!

    Ryan can lay out the complicated, difficult choices we will have to make in terms that everyone can understand. He has the solutions to avoid the financial catastrophe that Obama has accelerated.

    If you're rich, white, male, christian, and middle-aged, then Ryan is your man. Everyone else would get royally screwed under his budget proposal.

    It's up to the government to help provide for those who cannot provide for themselves. For the rest of us, we should expect government to provide some services (infrastructure, public education, etc) but if we are able we make our own success. "doing better" is a nice thought, and some certainly can, but many cannot, and in a humane society a government recognizes and addresses that.
    And in a humane society citizens do not demonize a their government for trying to help those who cannot help themselves.

    Well, you can start in the Preamble of the Constitution if you like:
    "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence,[note 1] promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

    Notice the part about promoting the general welfare.

    But if you don't like that part of the Constitution, you can also reference this one: Article 1, Section 8:

    The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

    Promoting the general welfare of its citizens is something the US (and state) governments have always been both empowered and expected to do, long before the social security act of 1933.

    Not give money. Provide social services to help those who cannot help themselves. Don't equate social safety nets with money. They are entirely different things.

    What you see, and what's really going on sometimes don't rightly align. Are there people on social services that are cheating the system? Of course there are. But that doesn't mean the system isn't doing some good for the many more than honestly need it. If you're truly worried about fraud, waste, and abuse that takes huge chunks out of the revenues our government needs to balance the budget and stop the deficit bleeding, then you should be way more worried about corporations on *their* welfare. I can assure you, the welfare subsidies, tax loopholes, and tax holidays they get for repatriating wealth stored overseas more than costs our government what is lost from the % of people that cheat the welfare system.

    You don't begrudge a man (or woman) that accepts welfare from the government when they are rich in order to get more money in their pockets (that they don't need)... But you begrudge people who take help from the government when they are down and out, with no other safety net to help them? Am I reading this right?
