Almost EVERYBODY I know is vegetarian - I don't call myself one because I eat meat (always ORGANIC) maybe three times a year on special occasions and when it would be hurtful or rude not to - I'm not "precious" about it but I hate the waste,the cruelty and the arrogance of meat eating - Hey is my hamburger ready yet ??

Eh, I met someone who offered me a spinach filled popper similar to a pizza pocket. I found it gross. I for one don't care about people's diets, as long as they afford me the same respect.

I know plenty of vegetarians and they are friends of mine. The vegetarians I don't like are the ones that try to convince be that vegetarian is "better" for me. It's a fact that Humans evolved when we started consuming animal protein. There's a reason why our teeth are designed for tearing flesh and for grinding plant matter. We are omnivores, plain and simple.

Though trendy, I don't recommend it-having worked in this field for decades-it's difficult for people to get enough protein. We need a certain amount of complete proteins, which are not readily available in plant form, without combining certain ones, which people are usually in too big of a hurry, or not informed enough, to make sure they're getting.

Plant protein is available in health food stores-like pea or rice protein.

All the vegetarians i kno r veg bcus of their religion.... N ther is anothe religion which restricts certain veg stuff too like onion carrot etc cus they r roots of a plant.... They avoid roots too... But i respect them all... I am a pure non vegetarian... :)

I have 1 vegetarian friend, 2 vegan friends, and 1 raw vegan friend (as of now, I had more vegetarian friends but they quit). I also know a pescetarian, and others who would like to become vegetarian and are "weaning" off of meat.

**Note: All vegans are vegetarian, not all vegetarians are vegan. There is lacto, ovo, lacto-ovo, and vegan. I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian.**

They don't eat any "flesh" except for fish. (simply a vegetarian that eats fish).

It's one of the healthiest diets out there to my knowlage , as fish has most benefits of meat and more and non of it's drawbacks. It's good for the brain, the body and is a great source of protein. I myself have been thinking of becoming one for some time now.
