They don't do the job they were hired to do. If they were working in the private sector and had job performance like they do they'd have all been fired long ago.

Not anymore. They are not doing their job. They just let Obama bypass them. They are the only people who could make him go by the laws.

For the most part...NO. Congressional ratings are almost if not in the single digit range. This says it all. If it were not for congress Obama's rating would have more weight.

Professional politicians need to go. They need to have set terms like the president. We need some independent body to watch over them. They are spoiled. They are arrogant. They are self Serving. When caught in a crime they should do double the time a non politician would do. No I'm not pissed - just very disappointed.

But not the republicans. They vowed to do everything in their power to make Obama a one term president. They have blocked everything he put on the table. They have done nothing but try and take away the rights of women.

I have consistently watched the live feed from both the House and the Senate this year, almost every day and I can say that when Mitch McConnell stated in November 2010 that "this is the beginning of the defeat of President Obama", he was declaring war by the GOP to defeat any and all legislation that would be construed as beneficial to Obama even at the expense of the American public. I'll bet that there were over a hundred votes this year to close debate and block any voting on very legitimate bills. What we really need in Congress to prevent this same scenario from continuing is to have term limits on all Congress member, outlaw lobbyists, remove the "freedom of speech" to corporations thus removing PACs, and limit election support to only money provided but the federal government to all candidates in equal amounts thus eliminating a candidates ability to "buy" an election and hopefully it would result in more parties being about to run a viable race.

Not the members who exempt themselves from the rules they push on Americans. They need to be on the health care bill that they shoved on us. Some politicians are ok but they get corrupted along with the rest. Too much self importance and too little for the people.

I respect their office, but there are very few members of Congress that I respect personally. VERY few.
