    Call me Mark willya?
NO, but then I'm naturally paranoid so I see plots all around me, and I tend to check doors and things to make sure they work properly.

I have a heightened state of insecurity about my safety every time something like this happens. It may be more heightened now though because it was a movie theater. This is one of the last places you would think this would happen. Events like this are so random though, what can you really do? I don't want to stop living my life and doing what I need/want to do as far as going to places in public. We're not even safe in our own homes either. I definitely pay more attention to what other people are doing around me though.

I believe in the second amendment, everyone should have a gun, that guy would have only been able to get off a few shots if someone had been there with a gun.

If something is going to happen it's going to happen. I can not spend my life worrying about what could go wrong. If I did that I would never leave my house. Then I would only have to worry about gas explosions, fires, earthquakes or what ever. Life is short enjoy while you can, tomorrow is promised to no one.

Yes and No it all depends on the place. I've never been a big Movie theater fan because So many people are there and they aren't always there to see the movie, or they bring their kids and they are often very distracted because of their short attention span and there fore that stops me from enjoying the reason I paid $10.00 plus snacks to watch a movie.

Concerts and other public gatherings not so much of a concern to me though. I'm usually pretty comfortable at those.

I'm originally from just south of Detroit....the possibility of being shot is just part of the usual risk taken whenever you leave the house (like the possibility of an auto accident...far more likely than being randomly shot.)

arson suspected in school fire that kills 90 (1958). for perspective check out #2 on the top 10 school massacres that occurred in 1927. The world is no more cruel or screwed up today than at other times in history. Now days we just have world news: http://listverse.com/2008/01/...

Not inappropriate when innocent people die because other people are scared of their government so they allow weapons to be sold to anyone that want's them just so they can be ready if their government tries to overtake them.
Which is never going to happen.

I have more concern about you, at ABC, trying to pin this on the Tea Party and conservatives, but let's not let facts get in the way. Shame on you for trying to make political hay with this most unfortunate event.

No. You can spend your life locked up in a cage too afraid to go out and enjoy life. You have a greater chance of dying in a car accident than getting shot up in a movie theater.
