Do you feel that these racist sneakers that have chains at the ankles, are sending the wrong message?

I don't approve of this sneaker. It is offensive, degrading, and sends a negative image-based message. We are judged on how we are perceived. I think that marketing executives don't have a positive image that which would not perpetuate the stereotypes. This is another form of the negative perception of our race.
Respect Jeremy Scott’s authority. The force in fashion continues to expand his jurisdiction, as seen on theRoundhouse Mid “Handcuffs”. Purple suede and reflective strapping detail the orange accented upper, detained by rubber ankle shackles and plastic chains. These are slated to release on August 12th.

Simmering Frog 2012/06/14 00:49:59None of the above+10How can sneakers be racist? Am I missing something here? If you are stupid enough to pay $350.00 for a pair of shoes that probably cost $10.00 at most to produce, "racist" isn't the word I'd use. More like "stupid."

this was done for the promotional value .. that's all ..
(and look .. the msm is definitely publicizing this bit of insanity from the fashion world once again .. )
You can't assume that these sneakers are racist within the very question about if these sneakers are racist. That's circular logic. It doesn't matter if you are right or wrong, its a useless question.
Who knew it would be over a pair of sneakers that we'd find agreement?
