People are over reacting about one man's opinion. I'm honestly getting sick and tired of hearing about it. The pres of the company NEVER said anything discriminatory, all he did was express his opinion. He didn't say anything like "We all hate gays and refuse to serve or hire them." For goodness freakin' sake, GET OVER IT!

Why are self-proclaimed conservatives seemingly so paranoid and bitter about liberals? I think it's a little bratty, and pretty deluded considering how many conservatives there still are and how much they still influence and control politics in america. Maybe not on MTV, but you're an idiot if you get their politics from MTV anyway. Just chill out and stop sounding like fat little kids who keep crying about what they think are liberal bullies that aren't really doing anything to you.

Obama told MTV he believes marriage is "between a man and a woman" and that he is "not in favor of gay marriage."

I forgot. He's EVOLVED over the past four years. Donations were down, now their up. Integrity, that's what I call it.

Up until a few weeks ago (in an election year, no less) the President himself did not support gay marriage. It is not invidious discrimination to prefer traditional marriage, as it is consistent with nature.

This whole thing is stupid. A couple of mayors say a stupid thing, and everybody on both sides are up in arms, instead of blowing it off as a stupid offhanded remark and then going about our business.

The remarks were not "offhanded". They knew exactly what they were going to say & they said it. It goes to the core of our Constitutional rights of freedom of speech & freedom of religion. When politicians, who are quite aware that what they say at any moment will be a reflection of their politics & how they represent ALL citizens, then they must be held responsible for those statements.

So it's okay to support an organization that promotes gay marriage, but we should bash those who support an organization that promotes straight marriage? That DEFINITELY sounds like equality.

But nobody ever said the world was fair. If they were treated fairly it would have never mattered what their beliefs only that the serve the best chicken sandwich money can buy. We all spend money in places that don't believe anything like what we do but because they don't take a stand, most of the time we never give it a second thought. Because this company took a stand on what they believed the world stops spinning - not for me - I support them and I respect them for taking an honest stand.

I do not have any problem with gays boycotting a business, I have boycotted Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream over their support of copkiller Mumia Abu Jamal for over 20 years. What I do have a problem with is making this front page news. It isn't and any politician involved in this is simply pandering. Cathy is entitled to his opinion, if you are unhappy don't buy his product. I'm going there tomorrow for lunch.

People are eating at CFA because they are sick and tired of being pushed around by Liberal Hate Groups. Mr Cathy made an offhand comment to a Baptist magazine about being family oriented. It was HATEFUL LIBERALS who spitefully grabbed that statement and morphed it into a declaration of 'hate'. It was HATEFUL LIBERALS who created this media circus, and ultimately HATEFUL LIBERALS who have provided CFA with a LOT of free advertising. If those HATEFUL LIBERALS had bothered to check their facts, they would have learned that CFA even has at least one homosexual in a management position with that company. If they were REALLY all that hateful, CFA would NEVER have promoted a gay man to manager. CFA doesn't hate. GAY LIBERAL ACTIVISTS are the real HATERS here.

"At least one" wow that is like a racist group saying we aren't racist we hired one black person. Everyone can be a hater. But they did support Family reasurch Group which though we shouldn't stop the ugandans from killing gay people. Is that ok? Wait it is ok because it is not our country right?

Edit: accidently wrote should when I mean shouldn't*

Hey, I heard one reference personally. I have no idea how many there are in total. Point is, they don't hate. You otoh seem so filled with hate that you're having trouble making coherent statements. If the Family Research Group thinks we should stop Ugandans from killing gays, why should you be upset???

So you think we should send American troops everywhere anything is going on that we disapprove of? Shed the blood of our children for people who don't give a rat's ass for America or American values? I'm already opposed to American Adventurism. We are NOT the World Cop and should stop acting as if we were. Frankly we can't afford the luxury anymore. Have you given money to any groups looking to protect and/or get those people out of harm's way?

The UN was trying to start a bill telling them to stop. Family Research foundation wanted them not to put that bill trough. It had nothing to do with sending troops there but for negations. I bet you also think we should stop feeding starving children because that isn't our job either right? Maybe we should have let the nazis kill all the jews I mean they weren't here either right? Have I given money yes I have thank you.

GOVERNMENT should not, correct. Americans give more than any other people on Earth. When government usurps the authority of church, it always ends with waste, fraud, and abuse. When Church usurps the authority of govt, you get Inquisitions and protection of pedophile priests. Mercy is the job of Church, and Justice is the job of Government. To attempt to mix them is sure to cause trouble.
What group did you give to?

I gave money to a church i used to go to called Golden Gate Fellowship they would send people to Darfur to help if you want I can give you the name and email address of the pastor and you can confirm it.

I think Mercy should be done by people not churches.
