it is just the price you pay for doing the Right Thing.it maybe a Shock to the RWNJs,but the majority of Liberals particularly those on Soda Head are politically responsible, have guns, are financially secure and independent.unlike the Conservatives,Liberal Soda Heads are not selfish and greedy.more importantly, they are Politically Well Informed.80 million dollars was spent by the RWNJs.4 million dollars by the Dems.and Walker barely survived.Walker paid people[100. dollars] to join his team.O.K.Walker is still under Fed.investigation.a battle was lost.however, the War continues.

I am sorry for America. I am sorry for the fact corporatism and big money was able to sway the vote. I am sorry for what the future holds. People without jobs and with less pay in their pockets will spend less and that is the only thing that stimulates and creates jobs. I am sorry globalization is ruining the American way of life for so many. Basically, this is one sorry mess! Republicans can't fix it. Neither can Democrats. And I am sorry to say, voters don't seem to get it!

you are absolutely Right.you are being Kind, when you say the Voters Don't Get It.how about being honest and stating the Voters are Lazy Minded Politically Stupid and have no interest in becoming Politically Educated.Walkers election supported by Union Workers, working class workers, and Professional Working People are a Perfect Example WHY you have to question the Wisdom of any Progressive Politician[President Obama,Sherrod Brown,Hillary Clinton etc] sacrificing their personal financial gains and power of influence for People too Ignorant and Lazy Minded to Vote and Protect their own Self Interest.why would an hourly worker ,the beneficary of Union Victories,Vote for the Republican Political Party, that is determine to Destroy every Middle Class Economic Protection the Voters have?

I don't feel sorry for them because it only shows that the people who supported Walker were active and the rest were deflated. For all their bragging and boasting, the state of Wisconsin is in desperate need of focus by it's leaders and this effort by the left to boot Walker out took away from the entire state governments ability to do this. They had no real chance of achieving this even with their false claims that the majority in Wisconsin would support the effort.

However, claims by the right that this is a sign of things to come in 2012 are just as unfounded because if anything, it points out that Americans are just as likely to stay the course with Obama just as Wisconsin stayed the course with Walker... a point many on the right aren't considering for the same reasons Liberals were overconfident Walker would be removed.

If you want to win in 2012, the message must be focused on improving the economy and focusing on people who genuinely have proven records doing this within your ideological political views.

In the case with Romney, Republicans may have cut their own throats as Romney is not one of them... he is, in fact, a Liberal Republicans which does not represent the Republican mainstream.

The strength of the Republican Party is that it is overwhelmingly rightwing with a secondary Moderate voting base with the left severely under represented to the point of not being a factor except in areas where a rightwing Republican cannot win which isn't in very many places.

The weakness of the Democratic Party is that it is majority leftwing by only a slim margin with a secondary Moderate voting base and the right strongly represented to the point that any effort by the left to flex it's muscle results in the party splitting against itself as where rightwing Republicans cannot win, rightwing Democrats often can.

Romney comes from the most Democrat controlled state in the US. His record in relation to success is mostly false. In fact, it is widely known that his claim to have paid off the state debt came from raising the cost of everything else increasing inflation, the cost of living and the reason he didn't run for a second term was he couldn't win... even the Republicans had turned against him because the economy was already going belly up in his last year and a half... then it began to collapse big time during the first two years of his successor not because he was a Democrat, but because Romney actually did nothing to fix any of the states problems.

    You cannot succeed this way.

Any fool can pay off debt if he raises the price of everything and claiming he did it without raising prices is actually a lie... for every additional dollar increase in the cost of living, you pay more taxes as a whole.

This is why the federal government does nothing about profiteering on gasoline as when bad news comes out of the Middle East and gas prices go up when the price for a barrel of oil remains the same or declines, there is no justification to raise the price of gas... and yet, that's what the gas companies did leading to huge profits and additional billions of dollars in taxes created at the local, state and federal levels.

If you pay an additional nickle per gallon, a twenty gallon fillup results in an additional dollar cost and a dollar that is taxed... and the price of gas didn't go up a nickle per gallon since Bush and Obama took over, it more than double in price not because the cost of a barrel of oil went up, but because our government stood by doing nothing about it.

Obama recently said there was nothing he could do... lie.

In the 70's, we faced a similar issue and even Jimmy Carter proved effective fighting both the fuel companies and OPEC because US federal law on profiteering came into play.

But Americans were different then. They protested, they carpooled, they fought for public transit and they forced the increasing cost of a gallon of gas stopped rising by very much for the quarter of a century.

But now, Americans are weak willed and intellectually lazy. They could care less about voting for leaders with actual leadership ability as all that matters is electing leaders to beat the opposition and keep them from imposing their views upon us. Instead of fighting the rising price of gas, we went along like good little sheep paying the price even if it meant you bought less food which in turn raised the price of food to compensate for lost profits in the food industry.

It opened the door for the left to push for alternative energy which they claim is new and innovative when their ideals for electric cars have been around from the start of the auto industry and solar / wind power have been around for decades or even centuries. It was the wrong time to focus on alternative energy because this requires investment we simply don't have and it left us vulnerable to con men who literally stole billions of dollars from US taxpayers before closing their doors.

It's not wrong to push for alternative energy, it was simply an opportunity they seized when America was at it's most vulnerable where they lacked the understanding to know that these technologies have been around for a very long time... but no one has been investing in developing them. Solar power has been around since the 50's and does not rely on power companies to compete as they could have been competing decades ago providing back up solar generators that power companies could not have prevented. This in turn would have generated the profits for further development of the technologies and today we would see millions of homes powered by solar energy.

The left doesn't understand this because they are completely uneducated in regard to alternative energies. The do not understand that alternative energies can compete against the so called "dirty energy" we have traditionally used because they are "alternative" meaning one does not rely on the other.

Motorcycle manufacturers do not rely on auto sales to be in business. They offer an alternative form of transit which appeals to certain consumers which is why they are "alternative". The left doesn't understand that Americans don't care where they get their energy as long as it's safe and they don't have to pay for it other than paying their monthly energy bills or paying for the technology that replaces it... they don't want to pay for development of something where they can see they should not have to pay for it as if the technology is worth it, then compete to sell your products like every other manufacturer does.

The left is short sighted, idealistic, uneducated, intellectually lazy and increasingly shifting towards Communism fighting to give federal government more and more power when it is painfully obvious that very few federal leaders have any real leadership ability to justify it.

The right is equally short sighted, idealistic, uneducated, intellectually lazy and increasingly shifting towards unbridled Plutocracy as the wealthy are gaining more and more power likewise over our federal government when it is just as painfully obvious their own leaders are bought off and controlled for the same reasons.

What's wrong with the US government is that the American people have allowed themselves to be dumbed down and divided against one another like two feuding families who reach a point where they want to shoot it out to eliminate the other side rather than using their damn heads to understand it's the leaders of the two sides who are leading them into conflict because they lack merit as leaders.

The Hatfields (Republicans) and McCoys (Democrats) is what Americans have become... it's just a matter of which family you support or if you refuse to support either to put the common good of all above these idiots which is what ended the Hatfield / McCoy Feud.

You have the power... use it and use it wisely which is something most Americans haven't done in decades.

Good for Scott Walker that he won... but look at all the time lost and the divisions created when every moment was precious to address the states problems and how these divisions will continue to weaken the states efforts to resolve the problems ALL people in Wisconsin share in common!

Idiots... the whole lot of them allowing this to happen!

No indeed. Anyone could have predicted this. I remember when the recall petitions started circulating. I said to myself, "They won't recall Walker. By the time they're ready to vote, everyone having eyes to see, will see that his reforms work." And they did.

His opponents flew in the face of reform. Naturally they lost.

NO!! I HAD a WI friend who I grew up with go off the deep end at me for sharing (by mistake) an article on FB about Paul Ryan and the US budget. She accused me of all the typical radical regressive things followed by what kind of Christian was I anyway? lolol

Well, I just checked FB and she is still blogging crazy things. She claimed on her latest post, which was a few hours ago, the Koch brothers sent bus loads of tea party members into WI and these TP members were going door to door telling people they couldn't vote if they signed the WAlker recall petition a few months back. She and her idiot ilk just make stuff up, lying is nothing to them.

Oh, she's beyond help. A mutual friend of ours sent me an email warning that she had gone off the deep end but it was too late, she went off making herself look really bad. She headed the recall in her county and last night her liberal county went reddish. Scott Walker won in her county by 963 votes yesterday which is 360 more votes than in 2010.
