The man accused of murdering Robin Munis, a Wyoming national guard sharpshooter, dies of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. This ends the search and eliminates the need for a trial. He will not murder anyone again.

I wanted to add that i have no sympathy for
a man that would murder anyone, let alone
his childs mommy. I do feel sorry for the families.
But as for him he is a coward ,and he will meet
his waterloo ..I don't think it will be pretty

He was ACCUSED not proven guilty! He is cute too! That's sad that he is dead without knowing the truth, and unless their is enough solid proof there should be a continued investigation or the murderer might still be out there

Yes, we all feel that way. But how do you feel that he "offed" himself? Do you prefer that self-punishment or would you prefer he stand trial?

i would like to know what set him off, she was the mother of his child what did she do to deserve this? Unless he was totally insane something caused him to plan and exicute his plan. Some men can't handle a cheating wife, or was he cheating and was about to lose everthing. If he truly was just insane he would not have spent his entire life in jail but rather in a mental institution until he was deemed safe. Crimes of passion are rarley repeated. If this was just murder because of some slight he would not have used his training because it would lead straigh to him. Do I beleive in the death penality, yes.

Some cultures consider suicide honorable. I don't believe we do in America. That would make a good question to ask... I think many people disagree that he did the honorable thing. Maybe you meant it as he did the "right" thing considering he murdered the his wife/the mother of his children.

Doesn't sound like any great loss to humanity. I wonder, was he in Iraq? Did he come back with problems? In that case I don't blame him but the people who put him in a nightmare situation and then didn't help him when he got back -- including FINDING OUT whether he had problems from what he'd seen and done in war, not just waiting for him to do something like he did.

Well, he doesn't have the guts now. He shot himself in the chest. People often refer to those who commit suicide as cowards because they don't have the courage to face the consequences of their actions. So they commit suicide as an easy way out.

What gets me about the guy is how he had to hide in bush and shoot her from a distance to me that is cowardice. And on top of it he could not even stand up for his actions. This guy was no better than a snake in the grass to me.

Tragedy, yet again. They had at least 1 child, who is now an orphan because the man who was suppose to protect her lost his mind. My heart goes out to everyone effected by this.

Yes, his murdering of the mom and himself did orphan the child. I prefer the child have another dad anyway -- not one who would murder the mom.

Actually my heart does go out to him, as he is a child of God, too. It goes out to him more as pity than anything. Pity that he was that disturbed, pity that he wasn't capable of loving his children (I have now heard he has 4), more than he hated his estranged wife, pity that he felt no one could help him, pity that he used his training for evil...you get the idea. I feel for his parents and siblings, the wifes family members, the kids. Selfish acts like this effect so many people, usually for the rest of their lives. What a waste.

I understand most of your feelings. I reviewed dozens of your 200+ votes on other polls and see you feel strongly about punishment (I didn't see your stance on death penalty). Would you prefer this guy lived to stand trial then got the death penalty? I just seek clarification, not to entice/harass you.

I think family members on both sides would have prefered he be captured and tried. None of them will ever be able to confront him with their anger and sorrow. They can't ask him "why" or tell him how his acts have devastated their lives. They get no sentence, and therefore no feeling of justice (if there really is some in these cases). He took the cowards way out. Although it goes against the tenants of my religion, as the Catholic church opposes the death penalty, I personally feel it is sometimes warranted. I would say this is one of those instances. He killed the mother of his children.
