    Here's the thing;

    I'm not here to make an impact on anyone else.

    I'm not here to change anyone's mind, or the world.


    I'm only here to be entertained; though sadly, this site seems to grow less effectual in that capacity by the day, due to all the seemingly endless negative energy into which many people invest themselves.

    I stay because of all the wonderful personas that I've encountered who have made an impact on me.

    To all who promote hope & faith in the face of despair; those who uplift others instead of tearing them down, those who rise above instead of sinking down - you know who you are, and each every one of you is a light in the dark.

    It pretty much feels like we're all banging our heads against the wall. This is really not worth our time because we so rarely are able to fix anyone's thinking.

    The new secession movement, now that is seriously on the MOVE and feels different!

    I'm not trying to make an impact on anyone. Just expressing myself and reading others that are there for the same reason. I'm pretty much set in my ways and assume that most others are too. But, I do enjoy reading the reasonable ones. I don't waste my time on someone trying to tell me I'm wrong when I'm thinking the same about them.

    As I view this site from eyes that have seen it for many years, I can tell you the majority on here don't NEED positive impact. They need someone to slap them really hard upside the head with the boot of TRUTH.

    I think it happens to everyone at sometime in their life. I use to feel that way, but I married someone that centers me now, and I feel much more in control of myself

    I'm not really here to make people believe the way I do and I always treat others well. Telling you what I honestly think and using the best facts I know aren't attacks. Some seem to think so. I'm here because I personally enjoy the mental exercise and learning from others. I like having this connection to so many, however small that may be. It's cool.

    I think 9 out of 10 times, people in the political commentary scene (both amateur and professional) aren't even looking to understand, let alone empathize with eachother's perspectives, and are just looking to inflame, troll, and get eachother's goat. I know I've harped on this issue before, and I don't mean it to sound self-pitying or "woe-is-me", but I know it gets a lot of other people down as well, and I hope the situation improves.
