Do you dislike Obama for the color of his skin or the content of his character?

The color of his skin
Or the content of his character
You!

I dislike President Obama because of his policies, his agenda, his arrogance and his disregard and dislike of America. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin, PERIOD. He has a serious problem telling the truth but I suppose that comes from being a Progressive, they must lie about their intentions or they'd never get elected. He's thin-skinned and I've never seen a President in my life that hated capitalism and refused to accept responsibility for his own actions. Is this what leadership looks like?

Actually, he has no character. He is an arrogant, self aggrandinizing little man and would be so no matter what color his skin. Leftists have played the race card to defend him so much that it's in tatters. Null and void.

I'm in a Union and love it. It protects me, pays me, gives me a pension when I retire, keeps me from getting harmed, gives me Healthcare and won't allow the biz to work me 20 hours straight without a bathroom break.

In some places it is. You don't understand a lot of corporations who overlook the "rules". If you bitch about them, it's a good way to get fired.

I'm so glad you get to pee. That's wonderful.

I worked on a non-Union film once and about wet my pants because the Director was a Camel and wanted to continue. I think the camera man went in a large Big Gulp cup because he couldn't leave either. Like I said, not ALL working jobs protect you.

I work in a union environment, I only dropped out about two years ago. The unions destroy productivity and they protect the weakest links. I guess if you're all about protecting workers despite their poor work ethics, they're your hero. However, if you believe in an equitable work system and rewarding productivity not the reverse, unions are killing us. While the USPS is going billions into debt, I'm making more money than ever and we even got large raises. Union members think that's wonderful but the reality is, if we were a business we'd be just another enterprise than the unions destroyed.

I have minority children and want them to be judged by thier actions and merit, not thier skin color. That is what I have done with Obama. I detest the direction he has taken this country in, his agenda and his willingness to distroy all foundations to obtain it, and the future he is leaving for my children and what he has taken away from them

I have one bi-racial and one black granddaughter and I feel exactly the same way. Do you feel like Obama has caused more racial tension? That's my take and it's disturbing. I don't want to start some race wars where there were none before because of some lying jackass! Sorry about the language but he really makes me angry with his lack of integrity and blaming everyone else for his intentional destruction of America.

I feel that he has definately stoked the fire on the left. You can not say anything against his policies without it being based on race. I see many leftists on here claiming you can not be a conservative without being racist, even if you have minority relatives, or are minority yourself. This is what has gotten so bad under Obama. The hatred is growing stronger on the left, and no one could meet thier criteria for being non racist anymore, because in thier minds no one could be against Obama and not be racist.

Skin color has never been an issue with me. What is annoying with Obama is his duplicity. I, personally, have observed that if he says he won't do something, he has already done it or is about to do it. Cap and Trade is an example. He has been held accountable to the fact that it is a scam. However, every now and then he brings it up. If he sneaks it by Enron will pale by comparison.

How many people don't have black friends or at least close relationships at work? My granddaughters are black and I have never seen then treated with anything other than respect. I even asked my daughter the other day when we were talking about it. She said she's never seen it. My son-in-law is really black. Did you know that there is color bias within the black community? Yes, some women won't date certain men or vice versa because they are too dark. Now, what is that about? I don't think you can call it racism, it's just a preference? God forbid a white person ever even uttered such a thing.

my son is biracial..you are not going to tell me a thing about racism that I don't already know. Girls have asked my son to dances and proms..because he is adorable..and once the parents find out it's a biracial person (they do consider that black, btw) the forbid it. Please. I have been there. I have gotten apartments and as soon as they see his dad..they forgot to tell me they were rented..seriously...I worked with the biggest rednecks in the world who said the most offensive things in front of me because I don't fit any stereotype and they didn't know I would be offended...Even after they found out they slipped up...please sell that to someone else..you are barking up the wrong tree.

I've never said there was no racism. I said that my granddaughters have not experienced it. Maybe it's the area where you live. I see white girls dating black boys all the time. My granddaughter plays high school softball and there are only two black girls on the team but her coach is a black woman. The coach made some extremely inappropriate comments about one of the girls and when the parents tried to do something about it they were stonewalled because of the coach's race. She even told the team that no one liked her because "she's black". My poor little granddaughter came home saying the only thing she was thinking while she was saying this was "I'm black and they like me".

After 11 out of 14 girls families complained, of which both black girls parents participated, they called in one girl to ask if it really happened...guess who it was? Yeah, it was my black granddaughter, I guess she was supposed to be sympathetic because of her race? The black athletic director told her that she looked very nice and he liked to see "black girl's succeed".

So, if you don't think that there isn't race bias on both sides, you're just not looking or you're just not aware. Some times people don't like someone not because of their skin color but because of who they are as a person. Do we all like every white person because they're white? Hardly!

I don't believe black people judge white people nearly as harshly as white people judge black. Some do, but that's not the norm. It's definitely not my experience. My son is absolutely likeable - he was captain of the highschool soccer and track teams, he was on homecoming court - he worked in the highschool office all through highschool and was a paid tutor. He played college soccer. Now he doesn't because he takes 15 - 18 credits each semester and works full time - and did I mention he's gorgeous..lol..and hilarious..No, girls weren't forbidden to go to proms and Christmas dances with him because of who he is..I raised my son right..and his dad is awesome. We haven't been together for about 5 years but I honestly do not know a more generous or hardworking father. My own father couldn't hold a candle to him. It had nothing to do with that. They forbid it because he was black. Honestly, this one girl, she was popular and very pretty..she would have kids over her house all the time..but no black people were allowed - except for my son..because they knew he was a good kid..and he is light skinned..but, am I flattered by that..no. Simply because they would let completely random white people in that house..but not black people..I never had those restrictions at my house. I didn't ...

Simply because they would let completely random white people in that house..but not black people..I never had those restrictions at my house. I didn't even want my son to be their exception. It's ironic, though, that she would knock on my door wondering if these certain white girls had been at my house this one particular day because they keyed her car and they said they were with my son sitting on my porch so they couldn't have done it. Ironic that the people she trusted the most disrespected her stuff. That same girl asked my son to the prom..her parents may actually have made an exception for him..but he told her no. He said her mouth flew open she was so shocked..I had to laugh. lol...He told her no because she had recently dated his bestfriend..he would never do that..but, it was still funny..they, their daughter included, thought they were all better than black people..and were 'kind' enough to make an exception for my son...and he should be 'honored' to be asked by her..pssh..he told her no.. you would have to know this girl to fully appreciate it.. :) Sorry - I rambled..but, in general yes - both white and black people can be condescending and maybe racism is more pronounced where I live - especially with the older people..I think the younger generation is, for the most part, beyond a lot of that.

I wasn't implying that your son wouldn't be liked because of who he is. I was just pointing out that sometimes that can be the case. I totally understand that racism exists. My white father was a civil rights leader here in Florida when he retired and we moved here in 1963. This was when Jim Crow laws were still in force. We had a cross burned in our yard to scare him but it didn't. He knew that it was probably the same men that he had coffee with every morning. I know racism exists but it's not conservative like people are trying to claim.

I don't like Obama because he stands for everything I don't believe in...PERIOD! He's antithetical to individual freedom and economic success. That's it, oh, and he lies and blames like no other President in my lifetime.

Your son is what we need all kids to be, white or black. Where I live we've got a lot of nasty little white thugs that I'd be more afraid of than any black kid. I do wish that the black boys would stop emulating thugs, it's demeaning. My girls are taught that they succeed or fail based on what they do, not what anyone else thinks of them. We're a society of blaming everyone else for our own failings. It needs to stop before we can succeed but unfortunately I see more and more becoming dependents of the government and liking it, every day.

Who worked all of their life? He can't work now because of his sugar levels and blood pressure..people act as though Obamacare is like welfare..people on welfare are already covered..it's the middle class that is being devastated. The problem with Obamacare is that it will make the person who can't afford it buy it anyway. How does that help? There are a lot of solutions to medical poverty and Obamacare isn't one of them. In the end when someone, a bureaucrat, has to decide if someone's life is worth the money, who will be affected? It's something everyone should think about. Thanks for the civility!
