Do you consider Obama to be YOUR president or just keeping the seat warm for a real man to take over?

Mr. T 2012/06/21 13:46:21
You!
Add Photos & Videos
Even though Obama currently resides in the White House, there is NO WAY I will ever consider this person to be MY president. For that to happen, I have to have at least some respect for the man, Obama gets zero respect from me.

Obama has done more damage to America than any person in American history and is trying for as second term to finish the job of completely destroying our country. His habitual lying and disdain for our laws are as obvious as they get and yet the liberals and progressives continue to back this type of behavior up. This was made clear yesterday by a 23-17 vote to hold Eric Holder in contempt of court. 23 people want justice to be served for a dead American citizen, Brian Terry, and 17 do not want justice to be served for him. You be the judge on this one, just remember, Brian Terry could have been you and ALL of the Democrats voted against YOU.

Of course he's my president, he's every American's president whether they agree with him or not.

I have no respect for these fools who think that he was born in Kenya and try and blame him for the recession which began before he ever set foot in the White House, frigging idiots!

If I had your respect, I'd have to take a long, hard look in the mirror. Clearly, I'd be a disloyal, bigoted douchebag; if that were the case.

I didn't call you a name. I said that I would be a disloyal, bigoted douchebag, if I had your respect. The implication being that the people you RESPECT are disloyal, bigoted douchebags. I didn't say anything about you. If you're feeling insecure, that's not on me.

"To deny that the Constitutionally ELECTED President of the United States, is YOUR president; is to declare your disloyalty TO the United States." BS. It is the duty of EVERY American citizen to question the motives and actions of those elected to SERVE US, the very people who put them in office. To blindly go along with the flow is too be nothing but a sheep and will eventually end up getting screwed by the very one you are trying to defend.

That's absolutely true. Ben Franklin called that the "loyal opposition". Thomas Jefferson and John Adams couldn't stand each other, but when Adams was President, Jefferson questioned him, while still respecting the fact that Adams was the one the people chose to lead them. And when Jefferson won the presidency, Adams fell in line too, all the while, questioning his motives. Neither EVER said publicly that the other was "not my president". That's what the loyal opposition is.
The president, whomever that might be at any given time; is the representative of our country to the world. Barack Obama is no less a symbol of our country than the Bald Eagle or the Old Glory. If you don't like him, vote for Mitt Romney; but until he leaves office, he will be your president. To deny that fact, is no different than to burn the flag.

When you claim that the person holding that office is NOT your president, you are not respecting the office either. In any given year, 1/3 or more of the country, will be displeased with the President. But to be loyal to ones country, in these cases; is to be the LOYAL opposition to its leadership. That is to say "I oppose what you say or do, and will voice my displeasure; but I still respect the fact that my country chose you."

O's my president alright, but I'll never respect the man for what he's done to acquire the office or how he's handled the reins as POTUS.

Stupid people, crooked politicians, a bought off press and a whole lot of tainted money got him where he is. These are only accomplishments if your playing a con-game.

If I were not so involved in a multi state strategy for the DNC and had I not seen the fraud with my own eyes, I would have respected the POTUS whether I liked him or not.

You just can't unsee FRAUD, thugs, violence, voter intimidation, voter registration fruad and dead people voting. Holder's been on my radar a while, but...The NBPP is huge in Philly, more elderly voters than anyone else did not vote from FEAR. I'm outraged!

Regarding the Contempt of Congress hearing, I called and thanked my rep for participating, followed it up with an email.

You could be talking about me, because Brian Terry could have been me. My employment ended a few days after 9/11.

For me, the Office was tarnished long before this. But I have maintained civility when speaking of the individual/s who I feel have done the first bits of damage (in my eyes). Andrew Jackson did a good job on dimming the shine on the Presidency.

I don't respect poseurs, people who overthrow our representative government by the use of goons, people who cannot bring themselves to respect Americans. I don't respect narcissists either - they are totally self-absorbed and every decision will be based on how it will affect the narcissist, NOT the public.

So, how could I possibly respect Obama?
