    No, I don't care.
Apparently with aluminium a car can tear through you like tin foil, so an accident will completely wreck your car and leave the other one with a dent. But, my father is the car man, I just do not want to have the same passion for cars.

    Yes, I prefer aluminum.
It gets better mileage. I'm pretty safe driving, so I will take my chances with a weaker body.

There's so much plastic in cars now days it doesn't matter much. I went to a funeral and we were part of the entourage going to the cemetery for the burial, the Funeral director put magnetic flags on all the cars following the hearse, he had trouble finding a place on my car where the magnet would stick, guess the same would happen with aluminum.

Aluminum is good. Iron is good. But, your car is already half plastic - expect more.

    Yes, I prefer steel.
The initial cost of aluminum is far greater than steel and any bodywork on aluminum is going to cost a lot more. It is very difficult to get paint to stick to it because it oxidizes so quickly. Road salt will absolutely murder it.

I am a very careful driver. I want a car that gets great mileage. If an aluminum car gets better mileage, I'll take it.
