Your question is of poor taste. Makes me wonder if it is intended to be a divisive wedge as if the recipients do not have enough challenges or are something less than human beings.
I have included (below) a definition and explination for your enlightenment in the event you are unaware. Welfare in this nation is a moral and ethical social program that applies to every citizen and we can as a nation hold our heads high because of it.

I believe they can win though as people get better informed by asking themselves the important questions which have been void as a result of the "financed wedge and divide" strategy they are being bombarded with by the GOP/Special Interests. Remember all that United we stand and divided we fall.

Welfare is the provision of a minimal level of wellbeing and social support for all citizens. In most developed countries, welfare is largely provided by the government, in addition to charities, informal social groups, religious groups, and inter-governmental organizations. In the end, this term replaces "charity" as it was known for thousands of years, being the voluntary act of providing for those who temporarily or permanently could not provide for themselves.

Welfare can take a variety of forms, such as monetary payments, subsidies and vouchers, or housing. Welfare can be provided by governments, non-governmental organizations, or a combination of the two. Welfare programs may be funded directly by governments, or in social insurance models, by the members of the Welfare scheme.

Welfare systems differ from country to country, but Welfare is commonly provided to individuals who are unemployed, those with illness or disability, the elderly, those with dependent children, and veterans. A person's eligibility for Welfare may also be constrained by means testing or other conditions.

There is no "welfare vote". There are Republicans collecting benefits like food stamps, Medicare, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, reduced or free school lunches for their children, Section 8 housing, and Social Security that don't vote Democrat. Are you against those programs or something?

Really? WOW. I didn't realize that there were that many on welfare who made that much of an impact on voting. Providing of course that they all vote. 4.1% of the population...according to this site anyway. http://www.statisticbrain.com...
Not to worry, plenty of other people to fill in the gaps come election time. =0)

"the welfare vote" is code for class warfare, which is something the Democrats encourage, even the rich ones. It gets them votes from those who have been brainwashed to believe that Republicans don't care.

Because every democrat program is based, not on caring and not on good policy, but on the purchase of voted. The welfare vote MUST include all those supporting the welfare mentality, those who want to feel good about "helping" those on welfare with other people's money.

Try reading something other than SODA every now and then. You might actually learn something. For exampe, according to the WSJ, among Hispanic registered voters, 61% said they would vote for Obama. Republicans just rejected the Fair Pay Act. That's not exactly the way to win over women voters .

They need every vote they can get to get back in the White House. I can see the president is a bit unsure now when he speaks. All is not well in the Democratic camp anymore. It was a great disappointment to them to lose wall street. Wall street is a great financial ally, losing them was a big loss, it can be construed as a sign of dissension. The domino affect is always feared when this happens. This will be a contest of funding, if I were the president I would spend a lot of money in the big cities to make sure none are lost from now till November. I would leave most of the swing states till last and concentrate on PA and Florida. The president has to start speaking directly to the unemployed and give them some kind of emergency funds, its full circle money into the economy anyway and it will get him votes. All Romney has to do at this point is let nature take its course economy wise and just win the debates. If Obama stumbles in the debates that will be all she wrote for the democratic party.

Actually it is not the welfare vote. Voter fraud votes which wins Democrats elections.
