the Mayan calender ended cuz there was nobody left to carve the new one. between the disease brought by Europeans that devastated the civilization, then the civil war that resulted from it. their decedents survive, but the civilization collapsed beyond repair

I just don't know if I'd be aware as my current consciousness. I believe in the spiritual body, but, just as you don't remember your time in the womb, isn't this like the womb for the afterlife? Would you remember it?

In the womb, you were a brand new miracle. A new creation. Your inner phantom, or spiritual body is the person you became to be in every aspect, save the flesh and the corruption that comes with it.

I do understand that. My feeling was just that, just as we don't remember ourselves before birth, I would expect that something similar may be the case after death as well.

In case anyone is worried about it, the actual time the solstice happens will be at 6:12AM Eastern Time. So, if you wake up at 6:15AM next Friday, you'll be fine.

Not sure if a little ways down the road we may have our lives changed as we know it . we may discover a far away asteroid due to extinct life 100 years down the road or a looming financial failure on a global scale resulting in total chaos and anarchy . most catostrophic ELE's will never be disclosed by any "sane" nation until last moment anyway . Arm yourselves america , keep a 90 supply of lifes sustaining items, dehydrated foods , water, a means to make fire...etc . better to have and not need than need and not have, it may just give you a fighting chance .

An interesting thing you never hear on all the Apocalypse shows is that the Spanish Explorers destroyed 90 plus percent of all Mayan records when they found them performing human sacrifice.
This would be the equivalent of tearing out a few pages of the Bible and then trying interpret all the other passages.
Who knows why the calendar ends - I think it may be a more interesting question to know why they began the calendar in 3114 BC - especially since the Mayan civilization was not even around at that time.
