    Flat or Fair tax is the ONLY WAY to eliminate cronyism and to ensure ALL citizens pay their "fair share."

    Consumption tax ONLY! There's no getting around that tax! You spend money, you pay tax. You spend MORE money, you pay MORE tax.

    HOW difficult is that to understand?

    Absolutely and The Federal Reserve should be abolished as well. The money the IRS gets only winds up going back to pay the Federal Reserve anyway. IRS just steals the wealth of productive and smart citizens. All government spending is paid for by borrowed money that it has no way of paying back. It's all immoral.

    We are taxed on EVERYTHING! It doesn't matter what we do we are taxed, I think we have enough taxing. How about lowering the pay for the Senators and Congress? Let's see how they like that? Make them have a regular pay and try to live off it.

    Taxing a person's production is counter-productive and morally wrong, we need a national sales tax, taxing consumption will encourage saving.

    Most of the congress have some kind of investment/property in a Loophole...that makes them money...they dont want to loose the loopholes...

    Where I live...ranchers recieve more welfare than anyone in the county....for floods,drought, hurricanes, tax write offs for farm use......and the local congressmen are right in the middle of it..

    We should reform our entire tax system to a flat or fair tax (I prefer this one) - we would still need IRS but just much, much smaller. All taxes are not bad - we need them o maintain our security, our military and other mutually beneficial things (highway system, airport towers and personnel and so on). We are all simply paying too much and for things that are better handled by private concerns and some things not at all.

    Income tax, 625 billion goes for defense and security-related activities such as veterans' programs. There are other recepients as well ( the Transportation Dept gets a slice) but my gripe is a hunk goes to a General Fund, to be used as Congress directs. That is where the biggest cheats are found. Among other things, it pays for the balogna sandwiches that the tax cheats eat in the federal prisons.

    The privately owned Federal Reserve Bank should pay all taxes. If they were taxed at 1% all other income taxes could disappear.
