Now, watch this video and see if you're as proud of GM and saving it as you should be. If you don't watch it, don't comment.

So, why does there continue to be so much proof that it's Obama that is directly and fragrantly outsourcing our tax dollars, and you still don't believe it?

They are losing market share, and building a crappier product, and in the case of the Volt it is way overpriced. In other words, nothing has changed at GM. They haven't lowered their labor cost, their materials cost. This company is going down. It's been said before, some companies have a marketing problem, some a product problem, some have a labor problem, and some have management problems. GM has all those problems. Here we have 0bama running around handing out our money to state, and local governments knowing he can't do it forever, because sooner or later GM is going to drive right into reality, and guess who will get hurt the most? The sucker taxpayer. The subject, not the citizen. Now you Libs out there still want to know how 0bama is taking away our rights? Yep we are forcefully invested in GM. See libs if I had rights in this country, I would invest in what I WANT to INVEST in. Not what 0bama wants me to invest in. Let 0bama invest his own money in GM. Just leave us the hell alone.

I've seen a lot of ignorant hate spew - it's not coming from the left. With the constant diatribe of "muslim, fascist, socialist, communist, kenyan, traitor, food stamp president" coming from the right - the hate and bigotry is so thick, it's difficult to wade through and find anything we might actually agree on.

Yes, very much so! Can you imagine the state of the US economy if the auto inductry went under? If the big three auto makers were to close well over 1 million jobs would have been lost (some studies put the figure closer to 3 mil).

They should have reorganized just like other companies have to do it...legally and by the rules. I guess you have no problem with them stripping legal rights from bondholders and playing favorites with unions vs non-union? Your figures would be assuming that the entire business would have completely gone away and we all know that's not the case.

Then you have no problem with the outsourcing that GM is doing with our tax dollars, or that they sponsor a propaganda film to celebrate communism in China? This is not America and apple pie, that's for sure!

Again, Obama supports China! If you look closely, Obama's bail out investments were failures and lead right back in the same direction they were heading in the first place...BANKRUPTCY! Even bailing out the banks, some paid the money back but not all of them and none changed their tactics and continue to attack with harsh foreclosures and debt collections! Now most of GM is produced out of the US and if allowed to go into bankruptcy reorganization they would have come out stronger and made the company profitable in the future. Instead they will have to negotiate reorg with the unions or move more jobs overseas to stay profitable!

A plan to shift a greater proportion of the struggling car-maker's production overseas is still being negotiated with US politicians, who have already lent GM $15.4bn (£10.18bn) in order to keep it afloat and safeguard its 90,000 US workers.

However, a spokesman for GM in Shanghai said it was "only a matter of time" before vehicles made in China are imported into the company's home market, in another blow to the US car industry.

After losing $6bn in the first quarter, GM has slashed its global production by 40pc, or 900,000 vehicles. Around 13 assembly plants will be affected by shutdowns in the US. The company has a June 1 deadline to complete a restructuring or follow Chrysler into Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Canada loaned GM about 9 and a half billion over what they got from the U.S. Government.

Seems more jobs are leaving the U.S. with Obama's outsourcing which he blames Romney of doing.

Just watch if GM doesn't end up overseas and all those jobs that were supposed to be saved will be gone too.

Of course it was a good and timely decision. The Republican Party controlling operatives were so ready to buy the collapsed corporation and the thousands of suppliers, move them to other countries and resell them to foreign investors. Isn't that exactly the business that Bain Capital conducts? Why would we not think that Bain Capital was behind the active Republicans who opposed the support given to GM and Chrysler?

You can ask us to watch your prepared propaganda and hope to support your RWNJ theories, but you can only fool those who refuse to think for themselves and depend on
such stories. I suppose it does really grieve all of you to think that Obama actually did what was right in the face of such rage and opposition. Suck it up, Gracie, we have a
solid industry again and Obama is a hero to the million plus workers who still have jobs
and are not drawing unemployment and eating with food stamps.

Republicans do not manipulate or try to run companies unlike dems who think they know how to manipulate the markets. GM is a great example of a failed buyout. When chrysler was save by government they made some changes but had to come back because they failed to make the real finacial changes to the structure of the unions. If unions fail to concede some pay and benefits they go over seas to save as many jobs as possibel!

Dick Nixon once said, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen". I suppose that now is interpreted to be "If you don't agree with my nonsense I'll
lock the door to the kitchen by blocking you"? That makes a lot of misinformation more palatable, for sure.

I do sometimes vent more frustration that I might, when I read absurdities and comments so far removed from reality as to defy any measure of logic or understanding of the world around us. The political arena at the moment is very
important. The forthcoming election is very important and could well determine if
we remain a Republic or concede all powers to the "Top 2% Club" and the Banks and billionaires of Wall Street. That makes me a bit edgy and sometimes more direct, just wondering if those who write some of the questions and comments here really believe the stuff they post.

At your urging, I will try to be more civil. But, I don't promise to ignore nonsense and poorly informed comments lacking any substance.
