I will never support the Socialist agenda of Liberalism.

Are their individual issues I can agree with Liberals on? Sure, but the gap is widening as Liberals become more radical/depraved.

its becomming such a divided country it seems like. both in the white house and as a whole. and even on here ive noticed too. most liberals/progressives are from either from new jersey, new york, cali, wisconsin, oregon or massachussets. and most conservatives ive talked to are from texas or arizona, utah or georgia. it just seems like conservatives and liberals dont want to associate with one another.

Your average left winger a generation or two ago would be considered right wing now if they held the same views. Never mind 100 or 200 years ago. The left has almost totally won in the West. Any further "compromise" would just move things even more left ward. It is pointless and suicidal. "Conservatives" need to radically re-evaluate their worldview and tactics.

They already have. Both oppose bank bailouts. Both oppose lobbyists. Both oppose government workers being bribed by corporations. Both oppose Privacy Rights violations.

They seem to have a lot of common ground. Don't tell the politicians that, though. It would ruin the conflict they use to profit gain from.

The so-called "conservative agenda" continues to drift further and further into the darkness of fascism, backwoods ideologies and religious dogmas. I don't think the "liberal" crowd will follow them down this slope, so it is wholly unlikely they will ever find a common ground. Presently we have a President squarely in the middle ground of political goals, and several moderate Republicans joining him (eg. Christy, Powell, Jebb Bush, others), all
being contemptuously assaulted by the RWNJs that claim to be "conservatives". Probably isn't going to happen, unless the Reps can clean house of the radical elements.

This all depends on if you mean the faux conservatives... See the real America that has a lot of fiscal conservatives can get along with the liberals... because both of them are logical and actually care about the country.
Now if you are talking about the social conservatives with is quickly becoming the American version of the Taliban... then no, because the social conservatives do not use logic and they love a fantasy but not the actual country.

One or the other have to stop standing up for personal freedom under a representative constitutional republic or regulated dependency under a state run bureaucratic Fascist government. But then that still wouldn't fall under the definition of conservatives and liberals coming together, would it?

Ok, some gays can marry and some can't. Some abortions can happen and some can't. Some people can be taxed to death and others won't. Some industries get government subsidies but others don't. And pro agenda companies get tax incentives and non conformers don't. Sounds like a totalitarian dream. Maybe you mean, compromise, as in, just do what liberals want some more. That is the liberal definition of compromise. Never the opposite.
