First of all, Fidel Castro is still alive so he's still an ultra-Leftwing Communist ... so I don't know why you referred to him in the past tense. He was the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Secondly, Josef Stalin was also an ultra-Leftwing Communist. He was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and was the designated heir to Vladimir Lenin.
There's nothing "politically conservative" about either of these men.
Are you trying to re-write history, Bob? Well, if so all I can say is that Stalin would be very proud of your Stalinesque revision of history.
Do you believe that Joseph Stalin and Fidel Castro were political conservatives?

It's called the enemy of my enemy is my friend! They can sort it all out later when they kill each other but for now they want to take down Western civilization.
You and your ilk create the zaniest websites and declare them the truth.
Heptarch
Isn't it amazing how they can believe the zaniest biased websites then claim that someone ELSE isn't interested in the truth?
You are commiserating with judgi... and therein your ilk.
Just so I can spare you further embarrassment. I'm an Independent moderate. I'm not liberal or a conservative.
When I see people believing stupid crap with no basis in fact, I call them on it regardless of what their politics are.
If I see people linking to crank websites while dismissing ones with journalistic/academic credibility, I call them on it regardless of their politics.
Your comment about wacky websites.
Independent Moderate is Liberal.
LOL Ohhhhkaaaay....
And you don't understand why normal, rational people consider people like you whack jobs.
I have some liberal views and some conservative. If you judge me here for having a liberal one, you'd be just as wrong as you would if you saw me on a gun rights poll defending the conservative position and assumed I was a Conservative.
And none of that addresses your ridiculous post that "Independent moderates are Liberals". That's just asinine.
Fascism / Nazism was to the right of Communism, but both were still in the far Left quadrant.
Stalin's main accomplishments:
Industrialization
While not explicitly conservative or liberal, conservatives tend to emphasize industrialization more than liberals. He paid for his initiatives by taking money from the rich to finance these changes, which does lean towards the liberal principle of redistributing wealth to benefit the poor, however low wages, lack of worker rights, and the use of political prisoners to perform unpaid labor leans conservative, especially the first two.
Collectivization
Seemingly a liberal slam dunk, however, the targets for property confiscation were the middle class, which made up 60% of the population. This also caused famine, as Stalin refused to release grain stores, while still engaging in grain export. Trade over people? Conservative.
Freedom of Science
Conservative. Rigid control of sciences. Many scientists engaged in "unsafe" scientific research were sent to labor camps.
Social services
Liberal. More rights for women. Advances in health care. Education.
Culture
Very conservative in the sense that criticism of the government, non-conformity was cause to be sent to a labor camp...

Very conservative in the sense that criticism of the government, non-conformity was cause to be sent to a labor camp. Not to mention the forced relocation, slavery, or internment of indigenous peoples. Also, great effort made to force people into one culture.
Religion
Conservative. CERTAIN religious prosecuted and persecuted. "During World War II, however, the Church was allowed a revival as a patriotic organization", but people were not allowed to choose their religion for themselves.
Purges and deportations
Conservative. Getting rid of "undesireables", political critics, immigrants,

You and your ideas and mikada and his ideas placed on a balance scale would be equal.
Each balance platform would contain the same amount of BS.
Hitler was extreme Right
Extreme left is Communism
Extreme right is Fascism
