Olympian Oscar Pistorius has told his bail hearing that he thought his girlfriend was an intruder when he shot and killed her in his luxury home in Pretoria. The South African sports star, known as the Blade Runner, is charged with premeditated murder over the Valentine's Day killing of Reeva Steenkamp.

Prosecutors on Tuesday told the Pretoria magistrates court that Pistorius armed himself, put on his prosthetic legs and walked seven metres before firing four shots through a locked bathroom door. But in an affidavit read to the court by his lawyer, Pistorius said he was deeply in love with Steenkamp and was "absolutely mortified" by her death.

Things have changed dramatically and drastically for Oscar Pistorius since the trial date has been rescheduled to August 19th, the date of what would have been Reeva Steenkamp’s 30th birthday. On the 22nd of July, he will enter a parlous and perilous numerological cycle, which will continue through to the 22nd of November, 2013. The trial date falls within that time frame, and this does not bode at all well for Oscar. If you would like to read my updated ebook, (which also includes my unique findings hidden within Reeva's paintings which eerily forecast not only the tragedy but the calendar date and geographical location of it as well) “Oscar Pistorius Reeva Steenkamp A Double Tragedy”, please either go to Lulu and type in my name, Pamela Lillian Valemont or follow this link: http://www.lulu.com/shop/pame... I want to believe that he's not guilty. I've really admired him for overcoming so much. A few things that I've seen or read about that make it plausible is how bad the crime is and that evidently he has been pretty paranoid about being robbed. Also, I saw where the police officer or detective that said he had to have had his "legs" on because of the height and projection of the bullet has backtracked on that now. So, I don't know, but I hope it wasn't intentional.

Contracting murders and then blaming them on "intruders" is hardly an original idea.

    Not true.

Where were his artificial legs that he put on before shooting? Wouldn't they be beside the bed or at least in the bedroom? So he goes back into the bedroom from the balcony and puts on his legs without noticing whether his girlfriend is in the bed??

He also doesn't call the cops before deciding to shoot 4 bullet holes into the door even though he had the time to put his legs back on?

At least one report says the cops were called twice before over potential domestic violence.

It sounds like it might have been a heat-of-the-moment thing during an argument or domestic dispute.

Who knows? None of us were there. The police and the court will have to determine.

I'm surprised he didn't just blame it on burglars being caught in the act.(or maybe that "scenario" has been used too much by spouse killers already)

Well thats the thing. The media has the power will spin things and sway the public, but only the court actually gets the cold hard evidence and facts. Its all up to them to try and not be influenced by the media and public and make an unbiased choice.

Too many things don't ring true, firstly if I heard a noise and thought there was danger, I would wake my wife or girlfriend up straight away...why did she lock the bathroom door, that is not normal with only two of you there....why so many shots...why did the bat have blood on it if he only knocked the door in with it....there are so many holes in his story.....

Innocent until proven guilty is the saying, right? Trial by public opinion is no way to run a justice system. Stranger things have happened and as we know, having a gun in the house (at least in the United States) increases the chances dramatically that someone unintended will die by gunshot wound. You wake up, you hear noises, your adrenalin gets pumping and you are scared - you can do some really stupid things. I am NOT saying I'm completely won over by his story but based on what we've heard I'm also definitely not convinced of premeditated murder 'beyond reasonable doubt'.

There are some details you appear to be unaware of. He says he was on the balcony. When he heard a noise he put his artificial legs on. Wouldn't they be in the bedroom? How does he put on his legs without noticing where his girlfriend is?

How does he not call the cops BEFORE shooting?

How does he fire without inquiring who is in the bathroom first?

Why in the world would he assume there was an intruder without confirming that tiny possibility by confirming whether his girlfriend is in bed or not?

This is why we have courts.... There's a lot of conflicting information but let's allow justice to sort it out and until that time - innocent until proven guilty.
