Irrespective of what it is; Business, Love, War or Politics, do you feel that the end justifies the means or are there moral limits - a line that should never be crossed?

NOPE. The "winners" are never that: they are just bullies.
And bullies eventually get put in their place.
Remember the 2008 election.

In combat, "winning at all costs" might just mean the difference between survival and annihilation, depending upon the situation. There have been plenty of instances where "At all costs" was justified in combat. The story of Blackhawk Down, for instance, and the survival of the Delta team and the US Ranger unit that was stranded on the ground. They killed hundreds of civilians who where quite ready to murder them and survived a nightmare of a night holed up in shot up buildings just to RUN back to the safety of the UN held stadium.
