What do you call the Bush Tax Cuts? Or our whole Tax System? What do you call the Sending of More Federal Tax Money to the Red States by the Blue States than Red States pay in? You know those Rich Independent Gun Toting,Baby Making ,Anti-Union,Red Serf states? Top comment is a good example.

Anyone with a brain in his head believes in redistribution.

I pay my taxes. And that wealth is redistributed throughout this nation.

The redistribution of wealth is as American as apple pie.

The redistribution of wealth is part of good governance.

Redistribution of wealth = Allocation of resources

Good government wisely and effectively allocates resources (redistributes wealth).

Allocating Resources, ie Redistributing Wealth, is a major Function of government.

Why are Right Wingers so f*cking dumb anyway?

Lee, with all due respect, you should redistribute your OWN income, and property. Leave mine alone. I worked too hard on the farm for it.

i believe in created wealth which is done by working hard, establishing goals, and being successful. You have to make something of you life. You don't get there by sitting around and waiting for the silver spoon...Delusional Obama.....Do yu get it now ? Probably not knowing the fact it goes in one ear and out the other.

What your refering to IS THE THEORY of communism (note the small 'c'). In REALITY Communism results in people PRETENDING TO WORK and getting paid with PRETEND MONEY (or money so badly compromised by the lack of HARD WORK behind it as to be nearly wothless) .

A real communist country needs to be cooperative. Forced communism is not affected. The people need to be motivated to work for the common good and prosperity. It can't work if selfish people join in.

Communism must happen by the will of the people, though, so wouldn't the people who fight for a workers' state...

    you know...

    WORK?

Not only that, but currency would not exist in a Communist society. Resources would be used as needed by those who work.

I earned everything I have, and I will not give it up because someone says I have to. If someone else wants what I have they can earn it as I have. I will give money to poor or charities as I see fit, not because I'm forced to.

I believe that socialism, or redistribution, is only the first step. I'll settle for it in most cases and if a socialist has a chance of winning an election than I will vote for them. But, I think that communism is the best. Not redistribution, simce everyone will share everything. I just can't stand to think of all of the children starving in the streets while others have everything they want! Life would be so much better if everyone was middle class (which would abolish the system of classes as a whole; making everyone equal) and that can happen someday.

Under socialism and communism, it is the responsibility of the government to feed the starving children, under capitalism, it is the responsibility of the citizens.

Did you ever pay attention to which countries have children starving in the streets?

I spent my childhood hungry, and suffer physically today, because of it, but what doing without caused in me, was to give birth to the determination to work hard, change my own life, give my own kids a better life. We did without a lot of things while they were growing up, but none of us went hungry. You know why? We worked, and we worked from before sunup, till after sundown. Everyone should try it, and many are, and many more will, as time goes on. Like American Girl says: "If I didn't earn it, I don't want it".
  • Lydecho... Evan 2012/09/22 16:46:46

Russia is not communist anymore so that really has nothing to do with it. (I don't even like Putin.). Also, not all communists are Stalin supporters who want totalitarianism. I'm in favore of a peaceful, cooperative communist government based on the words of Marx and not on violent revolution. Revolution should be peaceful and if there is violence there shouldn't be too much.
