Do You Believe Gun Control Will Stop Mass Killings?

Let's face it: if you think gun control will stop mass killings, you are naive. Take away guns and there will be an escalation in violence. Not only will violence escalate but the means of creating that violence will rise to the next level. A few mouse clicks around the internet plus a simple trip to Wal-Mart or the local grocery or handware store will provide enough ingredients to create all the destruction anyone set on killing a lot of people will need.
Anyone who is deadset on committing suicide and taking as many others with them as possible, won't stop or think twice about not being able to get their hands on a gun. All they have to do is pack a suicide vest with enough explosives to take out a mall, a building or a city block. There are enough examples of how effective this can be. The question is: do we really want to bring this level of violence to our own country?
If we want to stop the violence, we are not going to do it by taking away guns. The only path to stopping violence is to teach our children how to live peaceful, calm lives. We accomplish that by teaching children discipline, self-respect and self-esteem. We make them a priority in our lives and show an interested by including them in our lives instead of sending a message that we are too busy to pay attention to their problems, their fears and their anxieties. Make them feel as though they are wanted instead of shut out.

+29Gun control will only limit law abiding citizens from protecting themselves, and make them more vulnerable to criminals and government takeover.

No program can completely stop mass killings, however. Some nut will find a gun some where. Other nuts, the small fraction of the bright and resourceful ones, will find other methods to kill many people.
Again, guns and 99.9% of the owners are not the problem, but all law abiding citizens will be see the negative impact of disarming the populace.
“This is a matter of vital importance to the public safety ... While we recognize that assault-weapon legislation will not stop all assault-weapon crime, statistics prove that we can dry up the supply of these guns, making them less accessible to criminals.”
Feb 6, 1989, at a birthday speech:
“I do not believe in taking away the right of the citizen for sporting, for hunting and so forth, or for home defense. But I do believe that an AK-47, a machine gun, is not a sporting weapon or needed for defense of a home.”
Aug 8, 1986 at a signing ceremony for a bill banning importation and production of armor-piercing ammo in the U.S.:
“Certain forms of ammunition have no legitimate sporting, recreational, or self-defense use and thus should be prohibited.”
Nov 14, 1988 while speaking to high school students, during a Q&A; session with the kids:
“Certain forms of ammunition have no legitimate sporting, recreational, or self-defense use and thus should be prohibited.”

Machine Guns were regulated in 1934 by the N.F.A. - They were not banned BUT to have one requires you to " jump through hoops " . You must First pass an F.B.I. background check ( extensive ) - Next * - You must pay a $ 200.00 TAX - Next * - You must buy the gun ( VERY EXPENSIVE - $ 10,000.00 and UP with many selling for $ 50.000.00 - over $100,000.00 ) so you must be very rich to even own one . Next * - After you aquire your weapon , you MUST allow the B.A.T.F. to do Home Inspections ANY Time They Chose !
SO .......... NO LEGAL assault weapons have EVER been used in ANY murder EVER !
The B.A.T.F. inspects " ALL " semi-automatic Look Alike Guns to make sure that they Can't Be modified BEFORE they are offered for sale . Those stories from the Left are just that - Stories !
Those stories come from way back when somebody invented a Drop In SEAR that made your semi-auto EMPTY THE MAGAZINE when you pulled the trigger . ( Not Good )
Nobody wanted one because you could NOT control the rate of fire by firing a single shot - 3 shot burst - 5 - 10 - etc. It fired ALL your ammo at once .
In the thirties one could purchase a Tommie Gun with a barrel clip holding several dozen rounds and we had no mass killings of innocent people. The difference is the times we are in. The erosion of our morals has a lot to do with it.
