Do you approve of mandated Arabic taught in New York's elementary schools this September?

txtumlinCelebratesCyberFriends 2012/05/26 19:33:42
I'm confused, I thought they were to learn English to be a 'good' citizen
Yes, globally our children are behind others academically, a new language is good
Absolutely NOT. No explanation needed!
Ask anyone who passed a foreign language class if they are using it today.

You!

When an administration starts implementing an agenda within our educational system, (from the 2nd through 5th Grades), you know there is room for bias, abuse, misinformation and deliberate upper scale indoctrination.

When forgeiners wish to become an American, they are required to ASSIMILATE to the land and customs of the country they wish to be a citizen of.

That means learning the language, reading and writing English, learning basic laws as they pertain to good citizenry NOT the opposite. These immigrants from Muslim countries want the USA to pander to their customs and celebrations. They want OUR children to learn Arabic, nooo, it's just back-asswards, YOU, who wish to take advantage of our liberties MUST proceed legally.

Check the link below for what will begin September 2012 in New York. Like this Beckism you've all heard before, 'it'll make blood squirt from your eyeballs'.

Of all the languages to be mandated, I would have expected something closer to home like Spanish or French and of course English for foreigners going to school there. I don't think learning Arabic is going to help a person in the future. I didn't realize the New York area had such a need for this language.

This is recidulous, if a language is to be learned it should be a useful language and I don't see Arabic as being useful in any way. Sounds like more Islamic propaganda is being forced on the US, I say to hell with Islam.

At that age, at the most, English speaking people should only be learning germanic languages.
Romance languages should come later and as for arabic or oriental, at GCSE level and only as an option.

It is one way to find out what your neighbor might be planning. A teacher out west learned Arabic and exposed a bomb plot to the US government. She found it on the internet.

W O W ! Now that's a definite plus plus! :D But she was a teacher first, learned the language as her free choice to do so, then probably saved some American lives. A true heroine.

That's all wonderful and awesome, however NY is going to be teaching 2nd thru 5th Graders, big difference, agree?

There are too many bleeding hearts in this country to even think this kind of crap up in the first place. In the early 1800's the language of choice was English and been as such for many years.I myself am tired of pressing one or pressing two. What about the other fourty four plus languages out there so we could keep everybody happy?Imagine spending most of your adult life waiting for your's to come up on a phone menu or how about an ATM;;;Think about a road sign the size of two billboards with two miles of tr5affic jambed up your backside.Alot of people that actually move this country or manufacture in this great land,or farm and/or feed this nation speak English and it's many dielects in this Land and are the backbone of the United States of America. This is just one of the many heads of Greed my friends. It rears it's ugly head an seeks another way to divide us.Or is better said on my bumper sticker.....Speak English,or get the heck out''''''

I like your bumper sticker! To even question what the official language should be is ludicrous!
You 're right about ALL the other languages in the USA. We are showing favoritism to the Mexicans and now the Arabic speaking peoples. Speak English or get the heck out
