1. American Revolution set the Nation in motion for our Independence that guarantees you the right to Live Liberty and the pursuit of happiness, without the Revolutionary War, you would be have been under the heel of the crown or other foreign power, there would be no US, No Freedom, No Independence, No Liberty, No Constitution and I dare say without that War advances by mankind would have been either non-existent or slow to developed, the Revolutionary War, not only freed a people but freed minds to advance mankind with inventions in all fields, so the next time you use your Iphone, the internet, turn on your TV, eat your meal freely, take a vacation, get a education, turn on a light, listen to your Ipod, drive a car, turn on your air conditioner, heat your home, relive man's walk on the moon, fly in a airplane, and just about everything else, you can thank those Brave Men and Women of that War for making it possible for those things to happen.

They had extreme pride in the military very early in history that came to apex in Nazi Germany. Ordinary citizens could be arrested for not saluting officers many many years before WWI. They gladly handed there country over to Hitler to empower their glorious nation.
Before I am accused of all kinds of things that aren't true, I will say I am very sad to hear about one of our boys dieing. It makes me sick. But while you use that emotion and turn it into admiration for the organization that young man served in... I turn it into empathy for him, but antipathy for the organization that led him to a more than likely unnecessary death.

The idea that I would be attacked for simply not swearing allegiance with our government and military. That because I do not put ppl working for a specific government organization in a different social class than my own and look up to them makes me an enemy to society.... You sir are the communist.
I never said anything dishonoring them. I said that they joined because they decided to themselves. Is that not fact? Do we not have free will? I didn't spue bs about peace or talk about soldiers committing murder, because I do not believe that bs. You just made that up in your mind. I DO NOT DISRESPECT SOLDIERS!!! As I fail to see what my opinion of nationalism has to do with my economic ideologies, and as I notice nationalism is also an important part of communism. recognize that mankind as it now exists neither accepts nor respects our right to personal freedom and the ideals our nation represents therefore to ensure those freedoms we MUST be willing to fight, kill, and sometimes even die. Our nation was born in the fires and blood of war and the world around us still has not changed enough to turn our swords into plow-shares. Comparing Democracy to Nazi Fascism and our society to theirs using the fact that
military men have pride in themselves and their service is beyond stupid. What other nation can boast our personal freedoms? what other nation can boast an all volunteer military ?
Our young men and women join the military for many reasons some are personal, some are
philosophical but they all have one thing in common and that is the understanding that freedom is not free and they are willing to pay the price for all of us. War is hell and it is evil but it is also NECESSARY until all nations learn to live in peace and respect the rights of others and if you are unwilling to fight and die for your country, family and your way of life then you should be ashamed !
Maybe I worded it wrong. Maybe I appreciate the military, but I appreciate them just as much as I appreciate everyone else that has a job and isn't suckling on well fare. THEY CHOOSE THE MILITARY. I DIDNT FORCE ANYONE TO JOIN AND THEY ARENT DOING IT FOR ME.
And I never compared our society to the nazis!!!!! Gosh you ppl argue like 5 year olds. I even referenced a law the Germans had on books that us Americans would never ever allow. My point is nationalism is a road to fascism. AND BLIND NATIONALISM IN WHICH YOU ATTACK ANYONE WHO DOESN'T WORSHIP THE MILITARY AS YOU HAVE is exactly what we need to be weary of.
We are nowhere close at this point and I never said we were. I'm just saying its a slippery slop. The very fact that you guys attack me with such straw man arguments proves my point for me.
